I think you've misinterpreted this. Per social media, people of color are advising each other to stay home because if the protest is met with violence by police, they will be the first ones hurt.

Many brown naturalized citizens are scared…we are next for deportation after they are done with the green card holders. For my family, all naturalized citizens for decades, this country (our country…USA), was plan B. I have not seen a single POC in a video of of people marching themselves with signs towards the Washington Memorial, I did see a lot of middle aged white men and older ladies. These two demographics middle aged white men and older white women were majority of people I saw. The only POC I saw was a jogger lady who didn't pay an ounce of attention to this. Whatever you saw, but seeing candid footage from citizen's app clearly demonstrates very little participation of POC in this protest.
