NCAP going downhill?

Unfortunately yes.

How much notice did they get? How long will they receive a paycheck while searching for another job? This really stinks. I hope they had adequate notice.

It is all about the money. The bottom line. Nothing more.

That’s what they say but I doubt that’s true. He was a better coach than any of them could ever be and they know it. Someone from the inside squeezed him out I bet. Horrible leadership. Thinking about pulling our kids. How can you trust an organization like that?

Dear Phil if you’re reading this please come to our team❤️❤️❤️

I heard he had multiple offers immediately. He coaches because he loves the kids so much and truly cares. How many of our coaches at GP can say that?

NCAP through other ways without eliminating either of them. Many other sites out there.

I can’t speak to Phil but there were MANY issues with Jeremy at TY and why he was moved. Glad GP loved him but this was not the case for most swimmers at TY.

Of course this was announced after they gleefully take everyone’s deposits for renewal.

I’m sure you can get it back and I also doubt most parents know what was going on behind the scenes. You only have a small glimpse of the whole picture.

His kids will likely play a big factor in where he ends up? They are great swimmers and humans as well and any team would welcome them

Hi Coach! Keep on telling yourself taking deposits and then dropping this news on families is okay.

People on here whose team has some sort of oversight board, be happy you do.

+1000000000%

He is a wonderful human

I really question NCap management, Tom Ugast, and Spencer- they've literally screamed at parents for nothing and treat the swimmers and coaches like garbage unless you are a top 1% swimmer. When will people realize they are both so full of it?

Trust me, they treat the top kids like garbage too.

Would not go so far as to say that they treat any of the kids as garbage, but this is certainly not “in the best interest of NCAP athlete development” as was stated in the email to GP families. Quite the opposite. Phil and Jeremy care deeply about the swimmers that they have been coaching, some of them for several years. Dan S doesn’t even know they exist.

I’m just a looky loo from another site, but did they explain how the transition from Bruce to Dan is going to work and who is coaching what group this upcoming season? This whole thing just seems so odd.

Change is often hard. It can also be for the better even when that doesn't appear to be the case initially. People who are upset have choices, the most obvious being move on or get over your feelings and give Dan S a chance to prove himself.
