NCAP going downhill?

I probably wouldn’t reclass my kid, but who cares? Does this impact you? Does this impact NCAP? People seem pretty against one family’s decision they thought was best for their kid that didn’t impact anyone else. People need to take a deep breath.

Hate to break it to you but you and GP aren’t the main character of the story either. It’s only ok for you and GP to talk about your experience and for everyone else to fall in line? At the end of the day, every swim club is a business. Swimmers will adjust. If you love your coach so much, follow them to their next venture.

The GP site is certainly a main character in a story about the GP site making significant coaching changes. Thanks for playing.

Sure is- but all of it from the last few days was completely avoidable had the main office made some different choices and communicated better. And whoever is responsible for piling on about Jeremy from your experience at Tysons can take it somewhere else because it’s irrelevant to what is happening now with GP.

I’m sorry everyone. Thankfully, this one clearly emotional parent doesn’t reflect the GP community as a whole.

As one of the posters regarding Jeremy. Yes, as a parent of a swimmer that graduated before he left TY. I was delighted to hear he was finally let go. You may like him but not everyone does. Your 1 year experience as a bronze parent does not mean I can’t speak for my son. Don’t post on a public forum if you can’t handle other opinions.

Ma’am, you should have titled the thread differently than.

If your son graduated at least a year ago and you are still prattling on about their former club coach, that is a you problem that continuing to yell into the abyss about said coach will not fix.

Oh, excuse me. I didn’t realize still having a younger swimmer coming through the system meant I didn’t have skin in the game. Yelling into the abyss of DCUM also won’t get your precious back.

What skin do you have in this particular game when your younger child is not coached by this coach you clearly have a personal vendetta against?

Considering he’s been the primary coach for a G1/G2 as of late, you probably aren’t talking to a Bronze parent (who you clearly think is beneath you).

Is there a reason you need to be speaking for your college age son about his former club coach?

GP isn’t the main character in a side conversation about 2 of their coaches being let go out of nowhere? The fact that your swimmer had a bad experience with one of the coaches previously doesn’t really mean anything to the people that have had a great experience this year.

It absolutely should! You act like he is a great coach based on one year with him and are ignoring multiple TY posters telling you there were issues going on at TY that were so serious he was removed and demoted. Great that he was on his best behavior when he had supervision BUT as a parent you should be concerned and not be defensive when others try to tell you there is MUCH more to the story.

How about whoever these multiple parents who just “know” are they just spill the beans about the story and put this whole thing to rest. You’re defending around in circles on an anonymous board. If you want to keep this dumb side-thread going re TY, then say what actually happened to make you happy Jeremy is gone and be done with it. Otherwise, enough of the bassackwards-smears.

Sounds like Prep isn't the only sight with crazy parents. TY certainly has a share. This thread title was from 2024, and NCAP coach changes were recently added to the existing thread. This particular conversation is about coach changes at Prep site. Prep experience with Jeremy has been very positive. Maybe Prep kids and parents were nicer to him than TY. Better chemistry for him. Let go TY. We are upset about Jeremy and Phil leaving. Don't tell us good riddance because our experience was uniquely different to yours. Go start your own TY thread.
