2025 rankings of best private schools in the DMV

Anonymous
These are all great schools in their own rights and have their own particular strengths. How many people would care that Harvard is ranked no. 3 this year vs. Princeton at no. 1 vs. Yale at no. 5 and make their decision based on that? The quality of this conversation has gone from meh to landfill garbage.

Yeah it’s like comparing Havard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford vs the University of Shanghai.

You clearly have an ax to grind with one particular school which is really bothering you, and are not talking about the Niche ranking methodology in general. Just move on, you’ll get a stroke being this salty.

Just drumming my fingers and waiting......

This is how REAL ratings work. Where do the applications go? Where do parents fall all over themselves to pay $50K+ to get their kids in?

Not BIM.

Someone explained it above.

Oh wow, so we are talking Bullis, St Andrew’s, GDS, Prep, Sidwell, Landon, Holton, Maret, Potomac, Field, Burke, SSSAS, Flint Hill, and the McLean school maybe.

In another month or so, that's what DCUM will be all about, the highly sought after selective schools. Then when some folks don't get their wish in early 2025, the "Niche! Niche! Niche!" crowd will reemerge hunting for the waitlisters elsewhere who need a safety school backup landing spot.

That's BIM.

The University of Phoenix is a better comparable - given that the For-profit nature that separates one from all the others

Laughable. You just make yourself look foolish.

The school is communist!

The school is capitalist!

All dumb takes.

The fact that matters here is that BIM outranks virtually every private school in the DMV.

Outranks in what? "User generated content" that skews an admittedly unscientific ranking? How come no one is asking by BIM fell out of first place? Getting out-botted by the mainstream schools?

With Whittle out of the picture, Niche rated BIM "Best For Profit School in the Washington DC Area That Sends Profits Back To Chinese Owners."

Send your kids there then. They won’t be taking any spot mine were trying to get.

Guilty. Admittedly I can’t stand dumb people making ignorant comments. If you can’t stand the fact that a particular school is doing so well just say that. Stop hiding behind the “MY TEAM DIDN’T WIN SO THE GAME IS RIGGED” comment.

I mean between that, their NMSFS ratio and college placements, I can see why Sidwell & Co feel threaten by BIM. They are disturbing the status quo and the pecking order of things.

I think you're into something here.

Credit is due to Basis. The school is academically challenging, but it’s not the top school if you are looking for the rest of the normal school experience.
