“Many women not having access to abortion” actually does equate to not having access to healthcare. Everyone’s access to healthcare in abortion ban states is negatively affected because medical residents are not going to abortion ban states for training and doctors are leaving abortion ban states. Medical professionals are often married to other medical professionals. The loss of all these providers because of these abortion bans does equal not having access to healthcare broadly (not just abortion). |
This! Abortion is a big part of health care, like it or not. |
“Marks”? No one is as elite and educated as you, I get it. Anyone who disagrees with you must be an idiot. There’s no possible other explanation. |
Men don’t understand that D&Cs are used for many issues. |
You are not making sense. What’s written on his website today is in contradiction of remarks he has made both in 2024 and when he was president. What I am asking is, why do you believe the website is truthful and the remarks were not? |
Anybody that trusts anything out of Trump's mouth is an idiot, yes. |
They most definitely don't like it and will vote accordingly. But that opinion is a minority opinion and will be crushed in November by voters that know better. |
I am making sense. He changed his mind. He now knows what the people want him to do and what will get him elected. Politicians change their stances on issues all the time. Thats why I believe the most recent platform is the one he is going with right now. |
By the same token anyone who trusted the Dems that Biden was totes okay! Nothing to see here! is an idiot. |
This x10000. As someone who had two high risk pregnancies, abortion is often a medical necessity. It isn’t just an unwanted pregnancy. The fact that women are being medically evacuated from Idaho because a bunch of MAGAs want to shove their religion down everyone’s throats is disgusting. Do not think for one second that Trump wouldn’t sign a national abortion ban. He picked Vance, the guy that hates women. He appointed Supreme Court justices that were picked by the Federalist Soceity because they would both overturn Roe and lie under oath that Roe was settled law and as conservative jurists would respect stare decisis. |
+1 This is a state issue now, and need to be fought at the state level. Work to get it out on the ballot in your state elections if you want change. In terms of abortion policy, it doesn’t matter who is elected President. RvW is gone and not coming back |
Exactly. I don't think Trump gives a shit about abortion rights outside of what it means for his electability. He sniffed the political wind, realized that the pro-life Krakens are taking the opening he gave them and running wild with it, and is now telling everyone to pump the breaks - scrub their websites - to distance themselves from unpopular legislation. |
If he has changed his mind, why isn’t that clear in the platform— I.e why isn’t he putting in writing that he’s ruled out a federal ban, and won’t sign one that comes to his desk? |
But a federal ban could arrive under Trump. Just ask Graham who wants it at 15 weeks. |
Are you for real? You’re not going to get that much detail on a website. He’s not writing it to allay your fears. He’s just giving his general stance. And you really mean to tell me that if he did write that, you’d believe him? We’d just get more of the same “he’s lying” crap. |
