If a holy moment of Islam were portrayed by a bunch of drag queens on the world stage, I’m quite confident you nor anyone else would be defending it as art. I’d also bet good money the response would be violent.
As a Christian I am actually so happy that we don’t go batsh!t over nonsense like this and go about our day. Not everything needs our attention. I think this is all vulgar and dumb but art has always struck more conservative people as vulgar and dumb. That’s the purpose of art- to make you think and feel things.
The last thing modern Christianity needs is violence and hysteria. Isn’t it enough that our brethren are working to create a theocracy?
