I wonder what they were being reported for?

A couple I could get why maybe they might have seemed controversial but for most I’m not sure why they were special.

It is incredibly common on dcurbanmom for a single person to anonymously post lots of negative things in a way misleadingly intended to make it seem as if they are different people (e.g., a post complaining, another one agree with the complaint, another one saying "I had the exact same experience"). If there are complaints about a thread, moderators can review the ip addresses and remove posts of this nature. That may be what is happening.

It's also common on dcurbanmom for people to complain about posts being deleted when they haven't been. For my part, I have been following this thread extremely frequently since day 1 and haven't seen posts deleted.

Has the MS athletic coach left for girls?
I’m not a parent at SSFS so not sure of correct terminology but I know the Rosa soccer team coach was also employed at SSFS so they could use their playing fields for practices at time. Just wondering if she is one of the ones left or leaving. The job position looks open on the website but I’m not sure if it’s the same position.

I’m brand new to this platform. My second post on this thread was deleted. It was brief, and not mean or misleading. I have an editor’s eye for text; you have to check in frequently or you miss posts go up... and vanish.

Sometimes posts are deleted because they quote posts that needed to be deleted.

Posts that name specific people other than the HoS perhaps? I could understand why those might get removed.

I am not the person that pointed out that posts were being deleted, but I have seen a few posts that got removed. I do think it was done by the site to keep the discussion civil and legal.

One of the deleted post accused RG committing a crime without any proof. This could be considered slanderous if it wasn't true. I think it was correct to delete this post as it didn't help the discussion.

The second set of posts that I saw deleted linked to a right wing blog site and again that was not helpful to the discussion. The moderator deleted this link and posts complaining that it was posted to this thread.

I don't think the site is really removing many posts.

Agree. I knew enough teachers and families were unhappy. But I felt the same. If staying with the school I need to keep quiet or RG would make my kids life impossible. If I couldn’t do that I’d leave. I chose to leave.

You were wise - this happened at SAES as well but he wasn't HOS so it wasn't as obvious/effecting the entire school all the time. He definitely had a skill in making lives miserable for kids who rubbed him the wrong way. While I'm sorry for the SSFS community to have such turmoil and to have lost so many wonderful teachers and staff as a result, I'm glad to see his toxic, ineffectual behavior as HOS was recognized, handled and is openly discussed at minimum here on DCUM. Word will get around the DC area as it should. He's a self promoter and will continue to do fine with his DEI business making presentations to private schools elsewhere. Hopefully SSFS will be able to quickly turn around this unfortunate situation.

What kind of background check did the ssfs hos search committee do before hiring this guy? I sure hope they get a better search committee.

They didn’t need a background check, they needed even a tiny bit of interpersonal savvy. I agree abt a better search committee.

I think, as they say hindsight 20/20. I know the board messed up. But I feel like surely they were tricked too. They couldnt have been this inept when they hired him. But looking back now there were so many red flags, from early on and lasting so long. I just wish the board had taken steps to stop this earlier and prevented this devastation. I hope the school recovers of course, but it's going to be a really long road. In the short term the financial stability is what concerns me most. Is there any risk they might go bankrupt? I have seen several posts about millions in loads, unable to cover payroll, do repairs hire teachers. And more students will be leaving next year for sure. How they will they stay afloat to even ride through this storm? That's my biggest question. Second, will the board be transparent and honest enough to give remaining famiies the truth so they can make the decision best for their family? Board may be desperate to keep families, will they provide enough factual information even if it means they might lost more families? Trust will not be rebuilt with more lies.
