The first time I heard of Dr. Palmer was on Hubermans podcast. He told the story about the first Schizophrenic patient he cured through diet. It blew my mind and took me down a long rabbit hole

One week in I am down 6 lbs. Made it through all the cravings and withdrawals and started feeling pretty good yesterday. I am sleeping great.
Taking it easy on my workouts for now. Slow walks with a weighted vest and a little strength training. The plan is to start running 3-5 miles after the first 30 days and go back to lifting heavy in my workouts

Weighed in this morning. Down 7 pounds after 9 days. Feeling good. I thought I would get bored of meat but that hasn't happened so far. I have gone from 3 meals a day to 2. Not intentionally, just have no desire to eat 3 times per day.
Long term plan is to add back some berries and nuts but I'm sticking to just meat until I get to my goal weight

Forget those longterm plans. Eat the berries if you really want, but you will find that carnivore doesn't do well with nuts. Any kind of fiber addition will upset your stomach if you have been carnivore a while, and it just isn't worth the inflammation nuts cause.

I'll certainly pay attention to that but in some of my reading the 'proper human diet' is meat, nuts and berries. Thanks for the input

I eat what I'm hungry for and that means meat. Of course I throw in fruits and vegetables as well. I typically buy half a buffalo or other lean meat ever other year to keep in the deep freeze. It's excellent grass fed meat.
My numbers are fine.

82 and in the saddle! Maggie White dropped out of veterinarian school to work on a ranch and eventually own her own land and cattle, which she still works to this day in her 80s. Since she was a child she loved meat but hated vegetables, as most do, and when she moved away to work on a remote ranch, she decided to eat meat exclusively and never looked back. Now, more than 65 years later, she still eats only meat and water and is able to work 14 hours in -40 degree weather to care for her herd because as she points out, the cattle industry is under serious attack, and who is going to feed everyone when they realize meat is the best thing for them? Her's is an amazing story that will give encouragement and conviction to anyone considering a Carnivore way of life. Enjoy!

Yes, the rando who has been carnivore for 6 years, reversed diabetes, lost 90 pounds, and is on the diet with medical approval from cardiologist.

he, not she, and speaking totally truthfully. Not everybody needs to be carnivore, but there are doctors that see it as beneficial.
