If they give him this win for the CO case (1 of only 2 states that did this anyway) he will say he is vindicated and the SC is great. Then for the immunity case they can deny cert of maybe even go against him on the merits and then it will be harder for him to say the SC is biased against him.

Of course it was a resurrection. Even people who are pro-Trump can see that and not care because he's their pick. What I don't get is saying things like, the voters should have a right to decide. Even on the supreme court people are that simplistic? No, the people don't have a right to decide. The constitution says they don't.

Which is why it is in the Supreme Court. Every SCOTUS interpretation of the Constitution starts with a decision somewhere else that gets appealed to them. There is nothing out of order for Colorado to interpret the constitution when presented with a question under its jurisdiction for which there is no SCOTUS precedent. SCOTUS’s purpose is to interpret the Constitution, not to avoid the question by saying it is none of Colorado’s business whether a candidate is eligible for office.
