I didn't say those jobs don't exist. I said I haven't them without politics, headaches and pressure. If you've got VP jobs that pay that kind of money with no headaches, politics or pressures, clue us all in. |
The schoolboard needs to step down also. The whole MC education system need to be revamped, including materials taught. |
But this is not private sector. It’s paid by tax payer’s dollars. You don’t find such high pay often in the public sector. |
Watch BOE Operating Budget Work Session #2 now Jan 23. On MCPS website. BOE and McK all there. |
They have been all there since August. |
yes they have. pointing out they're all there after BOE asking McK to step down. |
Yes I’ve experienced it. |
acting as if nothing has happened |
Talking about budget? Really? I want to know how much exactly has been sent on legal from this mess? |
What do you expect them to do? They still have to work. |
I expected as much. It's not like they were going to scrap and trash talk each other WWE style. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
That is exactly what I tuned in for. Do that many people always show up to present or watch in person a meetjng? Clearly I have never watched or shown up so maybe this is the norm. |
I read the moco360 article and I’m still in shock. We need to burn the entire central office to the ground and start over. I can’t believe these are the people we are supposed to trust with our kids.
Monifa should be removed immediately. This is practically criminal. She’s done. There is no coming back from this. |
That's why was watching the BOE budget meeting with McKnight there too. |
Statement from MCEA:
January 22, 2024 Contact: Kate Hardwicke, mceapress@mceanea.org For Immediate Release Rockville, MD – We’ve learned today that the Montgomery County Board of Education has called for the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Monifa McKnight. We understand that Dr. McKnight is claiming the board is offering no reasons for this decision. However, we – like the rest of the public — are aware of serious problems with her leadership. In the wake of the Washington Post exposé of sexual harassment and bullying by an MCPS principal, new revelations increasingly indicate that the superintendent has been more concerned with protecting herself and her close associates than with doing right by front-line staff and students. The superintendent’s overseeing body, the board, is no doubt aware of confidential information that caused them to determine this drastic step is necessary. In declaring open war with the board, Dr. McKnight threatens to further damage not only her own future, but also the board’s efforts to restore the public’s trust in Montgomery County Public Schools. Right now, educators and the students we serve are the ones bearing the brunt of this disturbing chaos. We need to put out this fire and get back to the work of educating our young people. https://mocoshow.com/2024/01/23/mcea-board-of-ed-appears-justified-in-seeking-superintendents-resignation/?fbclid=IwAR1G9jZTI804rGFeZuY6UpNmug5DTlb12-FcqY60DB_x4CXih02lGLFLp6U |
