He’s the former lawyer for one of the defendants in this case. Not exactly an unbiased source.

In any case, there has never been a time when the first amendment has protected speech in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy. That’s been black letter law for as long as there has been a first amendment. Otherwise conspirators could always just claim that their agreements to commit crimes were protected.

+1 Also, there are 30 unindicted co-conspirators on the indictment. So no, not everything and everyone got indicted.
