please don’t bring your dog to the bus stop. Our ES bus stop turned into a dog park with bored parents chatting and letting their dogs play in the adjacent yard and dogs barking or jumping up on little kids. You think your dog is well behaved but I’d argue that one dog is one too many.

Horrible way to start the day for little kids who are scared of dogs - having to stand far away from your dog, boarding the bus crying. Just stop.

What about dogs at school pickup? Even worse.

THANK YOU! As a parent of a child who has been charged at twice by unleashed dogs while minding their own business and is super afraid, just stop. I do not care how gentle your dog is, how they wouldn't hurt a fly, how they are just excited and love kids, are a puppy in training, how I should get a dog of my own to fix my child, etc. just leave them home.

They are not allowed on any FCPS property. Of course, some parents will think that such rules do not apply to them. Hopefully the new principal will hold those parents accountable and shut down this behavior.

How exactly do you hold parents accountable?

There seems to be no lack of Navy parents happy to complain loudly about things. Perhaps they could actually do it face-to-face with people who bring their dogs onto school property. Instead of just complaining about it on DCUM.

That’s not our job. It’s up to the school to enforce. Dogs are not supposed to be on FCPS property and yet the walkers bring their dogs every goddamn day to Navy right to the doors to get their kids.

They take away time and resources from the kids who actually need help.

Only a narcissistic AAP parent would ask this. Your snowflakes are taking resources away from the normal grounded children at this school. Your demands take time, energy, and focus away from the education that the rest of our children are receiving.

Np.They don't, but it's not a fair/transparent system for acceptance to AAP. Many kids could go either way and it's not a clear cut process on how some are picked and some not. It's flawed and not equitable and favors kids that heavily prep.

You don't see how your incessant whining and questions and stupid requests take time away from admin who could be focusing on, for example, having an IEP or 504 meeting or searching for an IA for special kids?

Kiss n ride is so much smoother now that parents aren’t allowed in the lot to park. It’s wonderful!!!

Nope. I don't see Navy admin staff bumping IEP meetings just to talk to me.

Not sure why you think I have such powers.

You sound unhinged. Have any of these things actually happened to you?
