This. How can you ignore the negative impact this has had on our school systems. More resources towards ESOL means less money for other staff. Our Music programs have suffered. The school system spends so much money to provide services for the newly arrived immigrants (again, who now come from all over the world).

There are plenty of people in the DMV whose kids attend schools with a teeny ESOL population so they aren't impacted and never will be.
For other schools, it's a huge problem. And I a surprised that Black parents don't make more of an issue about it. Imagine if they had the dollars dedicated to ESOL freed up. That money could then be put towards remediation for students behind and acceleration for students who are ahead.

Black politicians in Chicago are speaking out about the damaging effects of uncontrolled immigration. This will spread.

As they should. But black voters will not vote for Republican candidates. Unless the Democrats change their tune, it won't matter much.

The point stands, because in the article they're talking about vaccinations administered by CBP. But many coming in already had been vaccinated before they even arrived at the US. Per WHO data, in Mexico, over 76% had at least one dose. Over 74% of Salvadorans have, too. The Democrats implemented ridiculous Covid rules and it’s phenomenal how people on those communities went along with it. And they worshipped Fauci, who dismissed natural immunity and threw our kids under the bus. So much of what the Democrats do is hypocritical and insane.

The fact that there is a whole different set of rules for individuals who walk across the souther border, and a whole different set of rules for people who cross the border legally is mind-boggling.

"Dismissed natural immunity" - reality shows that unvaccinated people relying on "natural immunity" were the most likely to end up hospitalized or dying. Reality shows that natural immunity wasn't all that great and unvaccinated people were far more likely to get covid a second and third time.

The school can’t deny kids an education. FWIW, at our school (with a high ESOL rate), I have never been asked for proof of vaccination. They don’t even have an address of record for some of the kids at the school.

That is actually very scary. Those kids could have measles, mumps, God knows what…. I’m surprised all the pro vaccine libs would tolerate this.

People flying into our country have been REQUIRED to be vaccinated or they cannot come. Remember the whole scandal with Djokovich? He couldn't play in US tournaments because he wasn't vaccinated even though he had natural immunity from having Covid twice.
Yet, those entering illegally on our southern border had no such requirements. AND they were not mandated to get vaccinations.
