They haven’t released statistics yet, but I saw quite a few OOS acceptances on college confidential. My kid was deferred from Clemson as well.

One of my kid's close friends at our FCPS high school was accepted earlier this evening. Definitely a smart kid with very good grades and test scores and course rigor, but not stellar.

My dd was admitted to Clemson, we are in MD, private school. I know of one boy, also at private who was admitted. Apparently they got hit with a crazy number of applications.

DD accepted OOS EA Business 1500 SATs 4.8 unweighted GPA plus 7APs & 2DE. Offered scholarship money tba in March.

There was some speculation on CC that they did not have time to review them all, hence the high number of deferrals. I'm not stunned my kid was deferred. The competition seemed kind of crazy. I was happy for a deferral rather than a denial.

Thanks! For my MCPS school, those bars are previous school years (not this year). It sounds like from the Naviance thread, settings might be different from school to school.

Possibly, but you would think all MCPS schools would be consistent.

They aren’t consistent. I have kids in two different MCPS schools and Naviance settings are different.

Clemson:
OOS, no hooks, 1340 SAT, 3.72 unweighted, 1 AP, NMSF. DD only did two extracurriculars, but did them all four years and had a leadership role in both.
