Excellent. Mining is a great career.

I have always loved Colorado for sedimental reasons.

Accepted to University of North Florida (1st choice)

Accepted to University of Florida (a definite surprise)

Accepted to Ole Miss (2nd choice)

Accepted to Florida State (3rd choice)

He was thrilled by UF. But, he is still going to UNF. And the best part is that he goes to college free.

Hi, when did your DC hear from UF? We are OOS and per website results will come out end of Feb. Pleasantly surprised to hear that some students have already been notified. TIA.

I have not seen a single admit to UF on Reddit or College Confidential. I think this is a troll.

UF acceptances come out in February. They are not out yet, and do not have Early Action for residents like FSU did this year.

Congrats! My DC is at UMass Amherst and is very happy there!

My son is graduating UMass this year. Loved the program, wasn’t fond of the area on the whole (he’s kind of a small city guy) but loved Amherst proper. Is now doing his last year in Japan and is happier then I’ve ever seen him. They gave a great merit scholarship for all four years and really has given him a great start, in my opinion. He’s also working part time there and would not be surprised if he opts to stay longer after getting a full time job.

My DD went to Emory and has a great job here in the area but feels that the education probably wasn’t worth the tuition paid.

Eldest went to the much sneered at GMU (tech degree) and is making a great salary at a major corporation. He has a learning disability and took longer to get through college, so the reduced tuition was helpful.

Hm, didn’t even know that’s an option, thanks. I just assumed that it’s super hard to get into from
OOS. I don’t know much about UNF b/c my kid really likes USF Honors College’s programming. Will research. Congrats to your child.
