The guy registered to become a republican AFTER 1/6.

He is clearly a full on Trumpster. I don't care whether you opposed bike lanes on Connecticut Avenue or not (his main platform item) - a pro-life, pro-fascist, pro-white nationalist does not deserve a single vote in the District of Columbia.

The core issue is the incivility of the Frumin supporters. Here you are deploying the same playbook against another person who dares to run against Frumin. You know nothing at all about this guy and yet here you are. Pretty sad.

Please cite some examples of the "incivility of the Frumin supporters." I followed this campaign and have no idea what you're talking about.

You write this literally after a post calling someone “pro-fascist”? Who are you fooling?

Do we really know where Matt Frumin stands on anything? He’s the ultimate finger-to-the-wind politician.

DP. I’m not in Ward 3 so I didn’t follow the race closely. But the stuff on here claiming Goulet was racist when he discussed the problems with housing voucher tenants was really nasty. False accusations of racism are pretty much the worst.

That was directed at Krukoff, not Goulet.

I don't remember posts calling him racist. What I remember are posts calling him racially insensitive.

Goulet supporters are ascribing some nasty and ill-placed ire on Frumin (and his supporters) - there is nothing Frumin or his supporters have said or posted on listservs that are objectionable. Yet somehow and for some reason, you and Mr. Goulet on Twitter, are all wound up on this.

Maybe look in the mirror.

All these issues are coming up again with the Frumin-related complaint now filed against Silverman -- https://thedcline.org/2022/08/23/washington-post-at-large-d-c-council-candidate-requests-probe-into-elissa-silvermans-ward-3-poll/

As a reminder: The Frumin smear campaign - resulted in Goulet being accused of "taking money" [see CP listserv] from DFER. They never corrected this lie.

If Tricky Tricia and Bombastic Ben had pushed their own campaigns as hard as the "dark money" meme, maybe they wouldn't have had to drop out. Fact: Independent "dark money" $$ for Goulet was all disclosed in accordance with the law. Obviously everybody knew where it was coming from.

Question: Will Frumin refuse to accept the support of independent spenders, disclaim their support and urge voters to ignore it? By his own admission he called up DFER and pitched them, he just didn't want to fill out their questionnaire.

1) Goulet had the open support of DFER.
2) Goulet has shown on social media to be slightly unhinged
3) There is no proof that Silverman shared polling data with anyone
4) Frumin was going to win the election either way.

DP but the point about Silverman is not true. She admitted to calling the candidates to tell them about the polling.

Did she call Frumin? She talked the others out of the race if you are to be believed. My information suggests those candidates were already talking about getting out. Look at Duncans last OCF filing. She was anemic.

Just more right wing projection and gaslighting.

You have to watch the video in context - the question was how to attract more people of color to Ward 3 and his answer was about vouchers. The people of the color in the race were outraged - for a reason.

There was only one person of color running, former Republican Monte Monash. Keep digging, you’re doing great.

How many Republicans are in the United States? You think they are all “pro-fascist”? You can no more ascribe whatever fringe sentiments to all Republicans as you could socialism to all Democrats. If you don’t know if Mr. Krucoff is “pro-fascism” then what you are doing is defamation.

It’s not okay to anonymously defame people online if they are part of an opposing party or an opposing candidate in the same party. I am not sure how you don’t understand this.

Yes, at this point anyone standing with the GOP is at best, willing to stay silent in the face of a white national christian fascist movement.

I think it’s clear that there is a level of toxicity that is deeply ingrained with Frumin’s supporters in particular. This will need to be something to watch closely because just like Josh Lopez, these folks will get more and more extreme until eventually Frumin will need to address it.
