As an adult with ADHD I’d argue that society is a construct, and thus all the definitions of what is typical and what isn’t.
The modern, capitalist society that we currently live in that is focused on productivity, efficiency and growth has created environments that affect humans that are more sensitive is some areas differently. To thrive in the way society is constructed, those sensitivities need to be managed otherwise mental health suffers
The reality is true creativity is divergent thinking that can’t really be measured in a consistent way and it’s also inefficient so is often not actually valued or encouraged. Sure, some gets through but they are very much the exception.
