No one has, this is just half assed marketing. Team Breakdown seems like a franchised AAU club. I would go with somewhere established locally if you can

Well you can just go look them up, there are a lot of AAU teams in this area I never heard of until I researched them for my 16 y.o.

Vague posts on anonymous forums make me assume that you don't know what you are talking about. Given that there are three AAU teams names in the subject of the thread, why don't you just call it out? What team had "head and shoulders" better talent. Stars? Nova94? Did you go to the other local AAU team's tryouts that aren't named in the subject? This thread has been helpful to people I know so let's keep it up if we can!

The tryouts were for teams not mentioned in the heading. The type of tryouts where the team doesn't really have a big internet presence - maybe an IG page. Those are invite only type. That fact you don't realize there are really different levels of AAU makes me wonder if you know anything. There is the AAU with NOVA Cavs, NOVA 94, etc. level where there is maybe one or two low end DI players on a team (and a bunch of D3 types) Then there is the entirely other level of teams usually one off teams that compete at extremely high level tournaments. But, I guess you can say there is a 3rd level that sort of mixes the two - Team Melo and the like.

I know enough about basketball not to assign "d1" to 11 and 12 year olds... the age I thought we were discussing here. And I'm familiar with many of the MD AAU teams, but honestly if you are good enough to be on Team Takeover or Team Durant, you sure as heck aren't going to a Nova Cavs tryout and complaining that it's rigged. So, yeah to go with your theme, I guess YOU implied that your son is D3 or whatever that means amongst boys. FWIW, the #1 and #2 teams in FCYBL are primarily made up of Nova 94 and Nova Cavs kids because the kids who play at "extremely high level tournaments" aren't in the FCYBL.

Maybe D1 AAU, but realistically those kids aren’t on track to be D1 in college.

Does anyone know when nova94 will notify us about "tryout" results? Tryouts for our age group completed just under a week ago. Not expecting to make it given the situation at the tryout but was wondering if those who made it have already heard...

Email them. A week is too long and I'd suspect your kid didn't make it. But anything is possible so I'd email if only to ask if you can expect communication regardless of the outcome.

My son's 2nd tryout completed on Sunday and I emailed them on Monday (President's Day). I knew they wouldn't have the teams sorted out yet, but I wanted to know what to expect...as in...will we even get an email if my son doesn't make the team? They responded quickly saying to give them a few days and that they will email everyone (regardless of if you make the team or not). I've yet to hear anything at this point.

So, let's say there are 3 open spots on the team. And they have identified their top 3, those people probably have had a conversation but likely those kids tried out for multiple teams. As player #1 decides, then depending on his choice then there will or won't be a spot for the #4 evaluated player. The bad news is that you aren't a really high priority player but the good news is that a lot of times the rejected players weren't invited to second tryout or have gotten the generic rejection email by now. These teams also have championship tourneys these weekends so it may be even early next week that you would hear definitively.

If your son made it, you would get an email 2-3 days after the last tryouts. If you don't get an email for more than a week, it is likely your son didn't make it.

Last year daughter ended up skipping tryouts for a team that occurred after she accepted an offer and they sent a form denial about a month later. It seemed like housekeeping to close everything out after all teams were set, but they did send it.
