+1 It would be even easier for elementary teachers. If I can remember who is allergic to peanut butter and which bus everyone gets on I can handle a list of mask exceptions.

PP here. I’m an ES teacher. My students have absolutely no problem wearing masks. I have never felt as though I’ve had a problem monitoring their mask wearing and it wouldn’t change by simply denoting it in SIS. It’s no different from knowing who has certain allergies. I can manage that.

Also, I would never refer to a student as “idiotic”.

MS teacher here. We have 147 kids on our team. I do not want to track 147 kids all day for masks. That is a pita and, frankly, it is not what I am supposed to be doing. I am supposed to be teaching, not making my list and checking it twice or thrice or a million times a day to see if Jennyboo or Larry should be wearing masks or not.
