I bet this is going to go over real well in the midterms, if Americans are still allowed to vote by then.

That will be the end of ICE, either way.

People are still playing nice because they think that they can end this in November by voting. If they try to remove that then it will get ugly.

We need to demand that primary candidates commit to defunding ICE if they are elected to Congress.

Disappointed in Slotkin.

It’s not surprising me at all. I’m used to being told that I need to kiss Romney’s ass for his impeachment vote, that Sasse was “a good guy” and not a criminal and an apologist, that Hawley and Mike Lee are just totally brilliant but have a couple of bad ideas, and that Chris Coons and other centrists were just trying to be persuaded.

As I see it, the majority of our elected leaders are weak and frightened. The squad, Mamdani, and Sanders have shown that you can win and be popular and call a fascist or an oligarch or a criminal what they are.

Schumer and Jeffries also have to go.

I agree. Jeffries has so much potential and he just skews so conservatively.

The Goods moved to Canada in 2024 after Trump was elected, and then moved back to the US. Anyone know why they moved back?

It never occurs to you that they might be working night shifts?

NP. I used to work night shift. I slept during the day.

DP. As did I, except if there was something specific I wanted to get done -- sometimes then I'd pull an all-nighter (during the day), or use PTO, or do it on one of my off cycle days. Wednesday and Thursday were my Saturday and Sunday.

I'm sure they would have been okay with getting a ticket, maybe having to pay a fine. Maybe spend some time in jail. Those are the normal consequences for civil disobedience, not getting killed.

If the car had stayed in park, that’s probably all that would have happened.

And not taunting ICE and yelling at them. Not my idea of a peaceful protest.

The lesson is that if you hurt precious ma feeling you get executed.

That’s second degree involuntary tmanslaughter, at least

The audio of "F*****g B****" is chilling. What a cold voice. He wasn't scared at all, just contemptuous.

A funny take on protesting ICE. God knows we need to laugh once in a while. It’s all too much.

The wife yelling "drive" means she’s an accomplice to murder.

I noticed that the right has now latched on to the idea that white liberal women are evil and will be the downfall of society. I guess bc white liberal women are the most visible in terms of protesters. But the language is just depressing. Like how dare they speak up and make such a fuss. That along with Latino and black right wing influencers-wanna-be saying the Democratic Party hates people of color and Good should have just behaved. Like yo. Is this real life?

Each to his own. Not everyone desires and appreciates noisy, intrusive protests in their neighborhoods. I work in a school comprised of 80% Hispanic families with respectful, hardworking kids. parents are here legally and mostly live in nearby apts. No one is bothering them.
