That’s what Charles did—a short video of him reading Get Well Soon cards.

There’s much, much less speculation about Charles, yet he’s the current king and has cancer. His team handled things much better.

Apparently there has been turnover in the office of Catherine/William and this team is just not yet on the ball. Struggling...

I wonder why that would be, as he is getting closer to the throne?

Pretty weird the only produced one version of this yesterday. If it was paparazzi, wouldn’t they have multiple shots? [/quote

It wasn’t live

I know we are pages and pages past this now, but why is the video of a video playing on the laptop versus just the video?

No, sorry. Catherine has a new private secretary who used to work for QEII. He is "on the ball." There is something else going on at Kensington. It absolutely is telling that since his diagnosis, the King has been seen in public several times, undertaken several official duties, and appeared in photos and video, but Catherine has not. This is not just about office turnover and not being on the ball. If they'd wanted to get photos or video of her to release, or stage a photo of her for the press (like the photos of the King leaving the hospital with Camilla, a staged event the press was alerted to and invited to come photograph), they would.

The photo of W&C in car yesterday was staged, for instance. Their publication was alerted to the timing of that vehicle and hired a photographer who was also likely told to get one good shot that showed both of them and no more (and to delete any photos that showed anything the palace wouldn't want people to see). This is standard operating procedure.

I just saw this and it made me do a double take! very damming

Aside from this one thing that made me question it is her hair being in a chignon on the photo. She often wears her hair down and that seems most likely when she was supposedly being dropped off for a private appt., rather than a fussy chignon when the public obviously wasn’t seeing her.

Take a deep breath. You're getting crazy.

The photographers who took the car picture are not amused by your "sleuthing".

"The paparazzo who snapped the pic of Kate Middleton riding alongside Prince William in a car Monday is speaking out to quash online conspiracy theories that the photo was doctored.

“We don’t change our photos in Photoshop other than adjusting the light levels if necessary,” photographer Jim Bennett told The Post."

Interesting and I’m not really getting crazy. I’m home sick with a fever and cold and this whole situation is providing me with quite a bit of distraction. In all seriousness, I hope she’s okay. She seems like a decent enough person and a loving mom and I certainly don’t wish ill on her or any of them really.

I do think the chignon was of some sort of significance. She presumably wasn’t bothering with that to go to a doctors appt. or go visit her mom even if she has people to do her hair.

No clue if the car photo was doctored, but you can’t really see her hairstyle in it because the image is too dark on that side of the car. There does seem to be a chignon and hat shaped dark shadow there though, so I find the doctoring theory not entirely implausible. A PP just posted a picture of the address where the photo was alleged to have been taken, and it does show why the bricks seem mismatched in the car pic.

I’m ready to believe KP would stoop to anything at this point, but I have one big problem with the theory that this picture is a fake: surely they would have photoshopped in a happy, smiling Kate if they were going to the trouble?

If the photo is even real. It is also suspicious.

This reporter did not impress me at first (she worked for buzzfeed news) but in reading her interview, she notes some interesting points regarding the rarity of Kensington palace responding to what is basically gossip (but doing so now), the rare footage of ambulance on 12/28, the Spanish reporter who doubled down on idea that Kate was quite seriously ill, etc. It's a good timeline of events as well as a good summary on how UK royal rota and tabloids in UK functioned and past and are behaving in the midst of this story.

Guys - dig into British media

Read that:
- Kate and William don't live together.
- She lives in Windsor close to her parents. - He lives in KP and Amner Hall (who lives close to Amner? Rose…. whose husband is reportedly gay)…

Just looked Rose up. I don’t know that I believe the affair. I mean, he could have just married her if he loved her, she is an aristocrat and would have likely been suitable wife. BUT…poor Rose. Her husband is so old. Why?? What was she thinking. She is 39 and he is 64!

Her sister also married a much older titled guy. Wanting titles and wealth running the family.

Pippa is 40 and her husband is 48.

The Middleton women met rich men because they were from a family that had become rich. Both women married former friends, not the first random rich dude who would have them. Believe me, they had options.

Carole Middleton is a modern day Mrs. Bennett. Kate and pippa “married well” because carole was strategic in where her daughters went to school and in whom they socialized with.

Pippa in particular married well because she did so on Kate’s coattails. In fact, pippa arguably married better than Kate. A never before married billionaire who’s a private citizen. They live in a 30 million pound mansion and his parents own a resort in st Barths. Pippa doesn’t work and writes the occasional op Ed in a woman’s health magazine on the benefits of swimming daily in pregnancy (the luxury.) while kate lives in 400 year old houses, has to never upstage her husband, and has to live an extremely public life. Kate chose this and made her bed for status, but pippa benefited more than she did.

Perfectly summarized. And it's not just Pippa who rode Kate's coattails. Pippa is now secure in her new life and set for life, even if she divorced. The status she helped confer on her husband when they married likely gave her leverage in negotiating her prenup, as marrying the sister-in-law to the future king would be considered very valuable, as well as knowing your children would be nieces and nephews to one king and cousins to another. So Pippa is basically free.

But Kate's parents 100% rely on William and Kate at this point, especially since their business went bust. And they are getting older. Plus look at their extended family -- do you think "Uncle Gary" would be on Celebrity Big Brother without the royal connection? I don't. Kate's entire family hit the jackpot when she married William. They also stand to lose a lot if they divorced, eve if Kate herself would be okay. It's a complicated situation.

If they divorce, Kate would be an exceedingly wealth woman and would likely have custody of the heirs to the throne. She would be fine

This Jim Bennett? The guys who was exclusively tipped off to get the shot? The guy who is dependent on access to the BRF for his bread & butter?

Here's their photo agency IG, with lots of adoring words for the BRF: https://www.instagram.com/goffphotos/

Sorry, not going to believe the word of a papp who has every incentive to lie to the NY Post.

If you look at the image, "Jim Bennett" does NOT have the photo credit for the car picture.

The credit is Bruce Bennett (which should actually read Bruce/Bennett) and refers to Bennett and his partner who have long photographed the royal family. He even mentions his partner in the interview.

I guarantee that this photo was authorized by Kensington Palace and that the selection of these photographers was also pre-approved. The family wanted to get a "proof of life" photo out there after the fiasco with the Mother's Day photo, and this allowed them to do it without appearing to do it. But just as the BRF banned the UK press from publishing the TMZ photo of Carole Middleton and a Kate-esque creature in the front seat of her car last week, they authorized this photo.

They're trusted "crisis" photographers. For example, they took these lovely photos of Prince Andrew with Sophie Wessex after some Jeffrey Epstein revelations. Also note, they are quite capable of getting clear photos of people riding in cars.

I can't believe we live in a world like this. Everyone edits photos. It's like she did something no one's ever seen before.

Perhaps. But an adult sibling with her own husband and kids can not drop everything and sit bedside by her adult sister (who also has a husband and kids) for weeks and months on end. It is not realistic.

Don't people usually edit them to make the photos look better, not to introduce flaws.

Or it may also have been photoshopped...

Nobody is criticizing Kate for the photo.
