You should ask the administrator to see if its one person more multiple posting. We all know its one person that loves to cheat.

No, it doesnt matter.

They just want to scream the loudest.

It will be fun watching them freak out when Aug birthdays arent allowed to play down next season.

What is don't understand is how they think they'll be able to choose to play on a younger team. Coaches and DOCs define rosters not parents.

They'll just shop around going from younger coach to younger coach looking for someone that will let them play down.

Its the same thing the GY parents do with holdbacks. They'll just keep looking around for whatever league will let them play an older player on a younger team. Once they find someone that allows it they'll tell each other on social media and suddenly there will be all kinds of holdbacks on teams.

Its the same thing private school parents do. Its the same thing home schoolers do. etc etc etc

And it's OK! They're doing what's best for them and their kid. And no need to worry about GY, because that's not allowed under the new system.

By best for them do you mean by screwing a player the correct grade out of a roster spot and minutes because you wont play on the B team with players your grade?

But then you're maybe taking away time from a kid on the older team from the C squad OR other worthy B team players. Just stick to age. It's simpler that way. Leave the rest up to the parents to worry about anything else.

Ridiculious, nobody has issues with players playing on the correct grade B team.

Of course, there are no issues when the team has players who are either there by age OR ability. But what you propose to do by grade would be wrong.

Its not wrong its what players will need to do either way if they want to play in college.

If you do t want to play in college find a spot on a B team.

Not true. Some B teams play at the highest levels.

Ok great, instead of trying to play on a grade down A team play on that B team with players your grade.

Nope. Those spots may already be taken and unless the kid earns the spot, the kid should play at the highest level at their age group.

If your kid cant make the A or B team with players their grade I highly doubt the grade below A team will want them either.
How does a team know what grade kids are in?

Once you get to ECNL level players graduating year is put on their profile and visible for everyone to see.

Notice how it lists the graduating year not the age. This is so recruiters can identify how long until they can play in college. Its also going to be a blinking red light if a player is playing down a grade to not recruit that player.
Nice so kids can list whatever they want

Its submitted by the club.

But sure they can list anything they want as long as it says their graduating year. Which easily can be translated to current grade in school.

Under BY grouping players graduating year in their profile screwed the trapped players because coaches weren't allowed to contact them yet even if they wanted to after watching them play.

Under SY grouping graduating year will screw players that are playing down a grade level compared to when they're graduating. College coaches wont know how to evaluate a player like this. Are they good? Why arent they playing with everyone else their grade? There will be so many questions. Instead of trying to figure it out they'll just be ignored.

If the kid is a prospect, based on talent, they will evaluate them, especially if the families already have made contact and they've seen them at camps and other events.

Thats the thing. Players that choose to play down wont be the ones burning up the field. At most they'll be a B team player when compared to other players graduing that year.

Reguarding recruiting sure you can buy your way into anything if you want to. There used to be a guy with the last name of Singer that made B team players dreams come true.

Kids sometimes graduate early OR take more time. Some kids get dozen of college credits in HS. Every kid is different.

Doubling down on the dumb I see.

So now to maintain your lie you plan to tell college coaches that your kid is a a genius and graduating a year yearly. Maybe this will work. However if the collges does its due diligence and confirms that you've lied to them what then? Most people dont like being lied to.

Yeah, and the club gets it from parents. So you can list whatever you want.

Are you planning to fool the recruiters by putting the incorrect graduating year into your kids ECNL profile?

If you were to get recruited you think they wont notice which year your kid is graduating? Or maybe your plan is to graduate a year before the college coach is expecting then just hide for a year until starting college?

So stupid.
Or maybe to avoid nosy, stalker parents looking to harass kids.

Welcome to the real world.

You can try to cheat by putting in false info but it's only going to hurt your kid.

Here's an idea instead of trying to exploit an obscure loopholes why dont you take your kid to the park and work on shooting.

Coach here not going to say where.

This thread is highly entertaining. The person that keeps kicking you in the nuts over and over about how things work with olders is 100% correct.

You dont want your kid playing down a grade. It causes so many problems that are easily avoidable by just playing on a team thats your kids grade in school.

Not believable because close to half the kids can't play with their grade now. And the clown hating August births has their kid playing off their GY by playing a year up so there's that.

Thank you coach wherever.

I know I'm correct because I'm living it right now with an older who has played since they were 3. For all the youngers parents that think they know everything. I also have a 2016 which means I'll be around for a while.

Coach, what does the literature on RAE say about being the youngest vs the oldest on the soccer team before puberty?

Here’s a fun topic.

My daughter had private training tonight
He’s ECNL club director in California for a big club. He mentioned big changes are going to be announced in about 6 months.

I tried to ask said he wasn’t allowed to say anything specific right now.

Who’s got the best guess?
