I'm a Landon homer and whoever said they are going to stink next year is correct. The poles couldn't make one clearing pass; the 2nd stringer goalie made one save on 6 goals; middies immediately stripped. Coach had to put starters back in with 1 to play it was so bad. They might win this year, but it is going to be a rough one for the next few.

SJC and GC score updates?

5-3 Ryken over SJC at half. SJC does not look good. Having issues with the 10 man ride so they are not clearing well, keep turning it over at midfield, Ryken is shutting off one of SJC's attack, not sure what SJC is doing on O, looks disorganized. Hope the figure it out at half. They should know how to handle this kind of stuff and adjust.

Overhyped players.

Bullis up 10-4 with goalie chasing and 4 minutes to play. This is why GP parents are so upset. Game's over coach. Play it out with a little dignity and maybe allow a couple of kids to play. Instead, Bullis is going to hang a couple more easy ones on them.

6-6 SJC - Ryken

SJC shot selection has been beyond horrible. Ryken playing hard and winning lots of GBs.

SJC looks confused by Ryken zone defense.

7-6 Ryken end of 3

What STA lacks in depth and talent they add some more with mediocre coaching. Landon is better at all phases of the game.

Prep alumni on a few occasions have tried to bring back Giblin and its fallen on deaf ears.

Correct. Also, the decision to start the freshman goalie over the senior was done with the backing of both the AD and the President. There's no chance that happened without their blessing. The GP alumni think they have some pull, they have none.

Yes, it's true! GP's AD and President both had to sign off on who starts at goalie before a switch could be made. Also, topic 2 at Conclave - after they figure out the whole next Pope thing - will be whether to bring in a new GP FOGO next season. Hundreds of dollars in GP alumni donations are at stake. So the Vatican is sure to listen to alumni input and is probably monitoring this very thread.

SJC's D also can't seem to stop Rykens mids. Goal 7 was a guy going coast to coast and slicing through the middle of SJC's D and scoring. Not sure why they cant manage a zone either. 1-4 or 2-2 and drag it. Not rocket science.

Getting the Colgate treatment. Smart coaching. Make them prove they can handle.

To be fair, the game was basically over when these kids came in as it was 11-2 with about 7 mins left in the game. Some of the kids who were in are seniors who likely just played the last lax gsme of their career.

I wouldn’t read too much into it but I agree with you Landon will drop off in 2026.
