Dang, someone is hurt |
| Tryouts for girls U12 and older start tonight and BSC still hasn’t announced the coaches for these teams. They want you to fork over $4k and have your daughter be around the coach for countless hours each week, and yet they don’t tell you who this person is going to be before you tryout. Is it incompetence, arrogance or both? |
|
Non BSC parent going into tryouts tonight. Can someone with some experience please confirm, bc kl isn’t responding to email inquiries as promised…
Registered my daughter, paid the damn fee, got the confirmation email, etc. however, I can’t find anywhere to register for SPECIFIC tryout dates. Do we just show up to as many as possible? |
Welcome to the BSC show. - Outgoing BSC parent |
Show up to all |
yes, you just show up to whichever tryout date you can (preferably all of them). |
lol lol Lol but seriously, was thinking of bringing my kid to BSC after seeing the success that he had with the 2016s. Is he as bad as KL? Or dare I say worse? |
Tryouts are listed on the website. |
Played his teams before, they always get better. Spoken to him on sidelines, seems to get it. Can’t say what happens internally though but I know some BSC parents and he’s not their complaint. |
You're probably not in the plans if you havent already sent tape (If you are relocating from far away) nor practiced with team before April. Attend all tryouts and be prepared for a RL offer at best. Then thank the gods you avoid this hornets nest of insecurity, fear and intimidation. |
He’s a great coach. He will put in extra time, much more than other BSC coaches. Loves futsal. Will do practices that are much different. Kind of outside the BSC hierarchy/in-crowd. He does want to win and will play to win in bigger tournaments. So, it can be tough on young kids sitting on the bench in big games. I think he only has one team next year. KL hogging 3 top teams. |
I think it’s fair to say that if the club doesn’t know your daughter prior to the tryouts and you want/expect to be on a top team that you’re already late unless your kid is a hidden gem. |
| hidden gem's have tape, and stay hidden because they are not showing up for tryouts. If you arent going to practices you are not in the plans move on. |
My kid is not on his team, but we train close to the same time he does... I've never seen anything bad about his training and thought he is a good coach. He prioritizes his team, minimizing external subs to make sure his girls get more play time. I did see a few frustrated games where he was a bit more forceful than in practice, but overall he seems to be a good coach. All our interactions with him have been positive. |
My kid busted the 1st teams ( | ) in a BSC tryout and declined the offer. Ignore the banter as people are trying to intimidate you so their fringe kid can have a spot. |
