You need both but KL and BSC start with the athletes first and try to teach them skill. Don’t bother if you are not already a top physical player. You won’t get game time.

Need reinforcements! Can't be losing to former GA teams and expect to win the Natty

😮

Has this approach been the norm over the last 20 years?

I would disagree with PP. He values technical players with a motor. You have to play hard and be in good shape at minimum but if you can't control the ball you have little value to him. He values possession, obsessively, but fails to create an environment where girls perform consistently to conrol the ball with any confidence. Being coached under duress is a requirement, thick skin, and high level of personal value and motivation (cause he's not going to give it). No criticism there if you're coaching pros, but he's not, he always coaches the first ECNL age group or the last pre-ECNL group and then he will coach the best team at the moment until he has alienated that player pool, then he will rotate back to u12/13 team. Thats the KL way. With this 2011 team he keeps adding new players every year and most are big and athletic, but they can all play his style and the best players on the field are still relatively small CM's with guess what, good motors and ball skills. I think he's been exactly the same the entire time, which is why he is problematic. Evolve... bro

I agree with you. Although I think he's somewhat calmer after last year. He wants to see girls work hard, and if you do, he'll like you.
