DC United Academy - aa strong academy or not

Is it normal that DCA is still bringing players in for trail? We're a few weeks away from the start of the season and one would think the roster is set and practices have started. Make those on the roster uneasy to keep see trialists come in because it means some players have to get dropped to make room for the new addition.

Most of the RU kids go off to other academies. I think there were two this year and some to Philly, Colorado and Charlotte. I think the RU org is closest to Charlotte which is a shame. Richmond should be the Sacramento to the Bay Area.

Academy teams are always trialing kids, DC is no exception.

Every position is up for competition, all the time. Unfortunately, kids get cut every year.

Definitely not kick and run style. Every team wants strong players. They are not just recruiting fast and big ones.

They picked up the ball and ran with it in rugby scrum style, knocking opponents over

One of the Arlington players who went to Austin made it through to the 3rd round of ID camps. Hard to believe DC wouldn't want him.

I don’t think that’s the style of play that develops players at U14 for long term success.

Every academy needs and wants who they want that fits their criteria for the future, not just the now.
