She may wear size 12 but she is 6' 2"! She looks like a normal healthy young woman. I guess the fashion industry just wants to insult the rest of us.

| She is beautiful but she is plus size. I could not see her wearing an xs or s top at all. Also, the majority of models are not above 6ft. |
|
I agree. It's insane. She's gorgeous and thin (in my book) and her body is just as unattainable looking as any other models.
BTW, what does that make "normal" models, minus-size? |
| She looks thin to me. At 6'2", she will never be a size 0 because her skeleton alone is too big. The fashion industry is headed by gay men who have no earthly clue about what is normal for women. They have a desire to cast women in a hyper-feminine and super skinny image. Insane. |
|
She's plus size for a model, not a normal person.
By the way, height doesn't affect size the way you think. Plenty of tall women are still size 6 shirts or skirts. Pants are different because of length. Being tall only changes your size if you are wide, either you skeleton or from weight. |
Ditto. I think size 12 is average for plus size models. IRL, I don't consider size 12 plus. Heck, I don't hink plus sized stores (like Lane Bryant) even carry size 12 - they start at size 14. |
This. |
| She's plus sized for a model. So what? |
May I roll my eyes at you? The definition of "plus size" is not "only fits into sizes M and above." That is a seriously skewed take on the world. |
This must be the same poster who thinks that anyone not in the 1% is "middle class." |
Hyper-feminine women are not super skinny. They have hips. Most models look more like twinks than women. |
Not true. I'm a "thin" 6ft woman and wear an 8 skirt. My BMI is borders underweight. |
I'd like to hear more about this. I am 6'' and don't consider myself thin at all, wear a 14. And people are always telling me, yah, but you would be a 10 if you were 6 inches shorter. True? |
| I don't think she's thin but I generally think of plus sizes as being in the 18 and above range. |
| I imagine she's only a size 12 in designer sizes. At Ann Taylor or Gap, she probably wears a 6. |
