Each year there is room for about two really strong teams in the DMV and a third that is just ok. Blackwolf used to be in the discussion but they faded after 2020. In 2018-2019 it was Madlax and VLC. In 2021-2022 It was Madlax and DCE with NL a close third. In 2023 it was ML and VLC with NL a bit behind. In 2024 it is ML and NL. In 2025 ML and DCE and 2026 looks like DCE and VLC. I think VLC takes a dip for a few years and may catch up soon. The 2032 team may have a dad coach but he is clearly the coach with the most coaching accolades in the DMV.
Bordley's coaching youth lax?

Did he ever coach in the PLL? was he a HOF player at a top five all time program?
Ahh. Thought you said coaching accolades.

coached in the PLL is that an accolade?
Actually, no. It isn't. Doesn't mean he can't be an excellent coach. And may be already.

***This has nothing to do with the coach in question. I do not know the man or his coaching ability.*** Now that we are clear on that!

As a rule, being a good player DOES NOT make you a good coach. These are two VERY different skills and this is what most clubs do not understand.
How does being able to run fast translate into being a good communicator?
Hard shot equals the ability to teach?
Throwing hard checks equals the ability to motivate others?

Many sports are filled with great players who turned out to be horrible coaches and it is not really their fault. Those great players were born with an internal drive to be great, but they do not know how to bring out the greatness in others.

not really. for the 28s nobody is lining up at the doors and these boys are headed into high school. the pool of players will only get smaller from here on out.

Read what again? You said "he is clearly the coach with the most coaching accolades in the DMV". Those are not accolades. They are not honors, awards or team titles. They are positions. Jobs. If you said he's a coach with some of the highest level experience in the DMV, you might be in the neighborhood.

do you have any idea how silly you sound? debating the difference between "jobs" and "accolades" of a fifth grade lacrosse coach. take a deep breath and move on with your life, please.

So anyone who rubbernecking clears you of the 5 car pile up you’ve made here?

This is why we can’t have nice things. The coach is very humble but one of the great all time midfielders with MLL PLL experience as a player. HS and Club level coaching experience for a long time and some coaching experience in the PLL. Now he is coaching a youth club team at VLC which is a great get for VLC. I would sign my son up for that team in a second.

My son is on great team. No need to tryout for the defunct 28s. i complained with my feet and wallet. it’s that simple, but good luck to your son. You’re wasting his time attempting to raise the dead.

Does VLC have any 2025 commits? It doesn't show on their website; starts with 2024s and older.

You can go to their insta page where it looks like they publish their D3 commits. Bonus you get a lot of PVI highlights.
