Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
lol ok |
Well then you haven’t read the thread. |
If you see it, then feel free to quote it. I have read the thread. |
WTF?! You need to check yourself. This attitude and snobbery is poison for you and your children. Not that it should matter but this is coming from a parent in the Whitman zone. Just know that when your child comes to my home and spews this elitist nonsense, they will be corrected. |
If he is already in HS, is not going to attend Woodward. He will attend WJ. |
Oh yes very true. I think the point is change is hard even when it is necessary or for a good reason or likely to be just fine. As humans we worry about change for ourselves and our kids. It is natural for people to imagine how new boundaries would impact their particular kids friend groups. Once the new schools open, it will all work out but the transition is hard. |

I think it's best to stop bickering about which side has more manchilds. Due to regualr distribution of population, we are always going to have folks who don't know how to behave. Be it in east or west side.
Let's focus on coming up with the good solutions and if we can make it better collectively. |
+1 purpose is not to just get into the best college. Also, if einstein does not have high level of math course then situation looks poor for Woodward with some boudary options having more FARMS than Einstein. |
Agree. People don't like change, but if an entire neighborhood is moving with you then I don't think changes are going to be that big for kids. |
When the most well resourced people have a financial incentive to maintain segregation, we are not going to find solutions that benefit everyone |
+1 |
Einstein is an IB school, so they have IB courses and fewer APs. There's no indication yet whether Woodward will be IB. |
| This thread was actually useful for a few pages, can we get back to that? |
How is implying that everyone in west county is a segregationist helpful? |
Lol in what way does the above imply that? It is simply a true statement that people zoned for West county schools benefit financially from segregation. That is not a dig at you. Many people, including me, have benefited from racism. That's the entire point of racism. |
