12 month window - no one cares about grades. DONE!

They can’t accept reality. Obviously they know of some talented Aug kids who are going to be taking spots next year and want them to play up instead.

No, I just care about integrity of youth soccer. More specifically not letting GY idiots play down. While being accommodateming to college recruiters that want all players on the field during games to be the same grade.

There no playing down on the girls side when you have a 12 month window.

No one is arguing for grad year!?

Your comments about pushing kids to play with their correct grade aligns more with GY than kids playing sighing their 12 month window.

Integrity of youth soccer!? lol there’s more important battles to be fight then trying to force August kids to play up.

Where was your integrity when the switched to BY and mixed the grades up the last 7 years? You must be the most anti BY person on here and have been protesting in the streets everyday.

You’re a joke.

Glad they're getting out all the rage here instead of somewhere else. I'm not sure how they can continue to argue a completely bogus point for 0 reason with 0 people on board.

There is no such thing as playing "down" when its a birthdate based system. Unless a child is playing rec soccer and is developmentally disabled.

Except it'll be more than Aug players that won't be with their grade. A lot of kids mostly born from June-Nov will be in grades above and below, based on factors other than sports. That's why it makes the most sense to have the 12-month window with parents empowered to perhaps play up an age group if the kid is good enough.

It's literally one poster and it'd be nice if they were banned, but I'm not going to go back and report each one.

I agree with this. If player is good enough to play on the A team with their grade they should play on that team. However if the player is not good enough to play on the A team with their grade they should play on the B team with their grade.

Playing down a grade is just nonsense.

You didn't understand what they wrote and went down your own rabbit hole...again.

IF this actually happened, parents on the older team will complain to no end about having add a player who's younger and only on the team because of their grade. Not really a solution. Why do that when you can just follow the 12 month window?

Playing down a grade is just nonsense.

I agree. Opinions about age changes aside, the name calling and tone is just gross. This person is everything wrong with youth sports.

Parents complain about everything all the time anyway.

Anonymous wrote: I am here only to check the Aug clown to entertain us everyday for free. Thanks for making this thread the hottest over years.
I'm a little worried that getting to a 1,000 pages is a little tainted though now that we know the multiple personality SY and then subtract 60 days / Leo birthday hater crazy was the same person and driving the thread by barfing out so much wrong insanity. Worried an asterisk would be put on the thread

Why lock this thread. Once coaches tell you next season that they're not going to allow playing down you'll just open new thread complaining about it.
So coaches are going to self invent grade year for your Sept girl? No way.

For the bazillionth time. Yes they will to save cheating parents like yourself from playjng your kid down and screwing them over when it comes time to get recruited for college.

I can't believe I'm going to ask this, I swore I was done with responding to this...to the poster saying for the bazillionth time ...does your daughter currently play with this August player? Has there been an issue with it up to this possible time she has to play with her next fall? what is the the issue next fall that isn't currently? what changes for that august player and your sept daughter next year that isn't exactly the same this year?

My kid plays up and starts currently and will likely continue playing up even after changing from BY to SY.

You're the one trying to find workarounds and loopholes to play down.

My kid plays up in age group and grade - always has - and starts and has consistently been the top scorer for years. I'm not looking for a workaround or loophole...I'm simply asking you what your issue is. nothing changes from the current system to the new system when it comes to an August player and a September player as stated above. both players play on the same team today and will play on the same team next fall. that is what i'm asking you. i'm not looking for a loophole.
