That's literally why pp said, a special formula for this particular hot mess FCPS decided to make. |
You still haven't articulated any clear reason why Westfield would deserve special treatment when it comes to staffing levels. Feel free to keep trying. |
FCPS told parents to leave comments on the boundary tool. To be fair, there were a lot of "red" comments in the Westfield area and the Walney Oaks area--I assume those were Westfield parents (and this was BEFORE they put out the final, uncommentable scenario which was even worse for Westfield. My personal hero is whoever left the comment right above Seema's house. Not all heros wear capes. |
| Losing all of your young teachers is a death sentence for a school. Those people teach all the classes no one else wants and pickup all the after school jobs no one will do. The loss of all of these young teachers will not only cripple the academics, but also the afterschool programs as well. What the county should do is amend the D staff rules and allow the principal to keep who they want rather than who was the least experienced. |
Who at Westfield hurt you, pp? You seem a little unhinged.
|
| I've never seen anyone argue so tirelessly and for so long in favor of screwing a bunch of kids she doesn't know over. I'm a little baffled by her motivation. Is it Seema herself? |
Yep. Pottery Barn Rule- you break it, you buy it. |
Chantilly is losing 640 or so per the boundary tool. |
That is not the inference to be drawn. By "currently" I mean the number of students at the school in the particular year, so staffing levels in 2026-27 should be based on expected 2026-27 enrollment, not the enrollment in prior years. And, of course, FCPS will never agree that it created a "hot mess" by deciding to buy KAA and open Skyview. It is only interested in flowers, and the superintendent charged with coming up with a plan for Skyview's boundaries and the related adjustments is about to get another raise. |
That's offset by picking up 40 or so from Fairfax, so it nets to about 600. |
But they are being left with enough students and have a low enough FARMs rate that its unlikely to have a negative result for their academic programing. |
Thanks for contributing nothing. |
| What's the story with the 40 kids from Fairfax? That is very odd. |
Ditto! |
I assume Reid's cousin lives there, or something. |
