I think Dems will know exactly how to process that, actually.

100 percent. The more cynical among us have said for years the first female president will have to be a Republican. And yes, we've been basically scared shitless that we had a woman as our Dem candidate.

PP here and yes. I learned my lesson in 2016, and when Biden bowed out and it became clear Harris was the only viable option, I thought this was the most likely outcome. I proudly voted for her and thought her campaign outperformed my expectations, but nothing about this surprises me (except some of the details about the margin, and Trump winning the popular vote). This country has made it clear that it's hostile to the idea of a woman as president and I think it's likely a woman president would have to be able to wrap herself in the tough guy politics of the right to satisfy people.

They are speaking about how they were wrong and that Americans did not allow their better angels to prevail.

Basically, we were wrong. We thought you were good people but you aren’t.

So obnoxious and self righteous and unaware even in sound defeat.

No they're right.

Americans will find out the hard way.

This.
People will be surprised at how quickly Trump will unleash impunity.

I wonder if the dems would have fared better with the old codger as the candidate. Don’t cross old jeo

My thoughts exactly plus the border fiasco that she couldn't be bothered with. And I still voted for her.

Thanking hardworking Americans who love this country.
Good.

OMG, he doesn’t care about hard work. He is a nepo baby who inherited (and lost!) millions and has never done a day of hard work in his life. He despises blue collar people, minorities and the uneducated. Deep down he wishes he was rubbing shoulders with celebrities and elites in places like NYC, where he spent most of his adult life.

Your envy is not a good look.

It’s ok. You don’t have to get it.

Trump is a convicted felon who incited an insurrection

and country still voted for him and he won handily. What does it say about the witch hunt? lol

You are missing the point. Her policies were weak and country is not going to vote for a woman for no reason.

Except it wasn’t a witch hunt. I was working that day for Congress. America doesn’t GAF. They are perfectly fine with lawlessness of white men.

It was difficult for me, but for my daughter and other young women, I voted for Harris. But my reason for not wanting to has nothing to do with her being a woman. I desperately want a woman president. I believe the dems are the ones who really don't. If they are serious about it, why not identify a strong woman candidate? In any event, the only possible good outcome of this election is that the left could possibly see what is wrong in this country. But beween Scarborough this morning, and this board, it is apparent that nothing is going to change. Women will continue being erased by transactivists, the left will continue to call those who care about issues differently than they do garbage and act as if people who choose to live in rural areas and live a different way of life don't deserve to be represented. This should be a wake up call, but I know it won't be.

They were on stage last night. Don’t worry they’re coming to pillage the coffers. They’re not getting off the gravy train.

Same here. Not surprised at what happened. She was such an incredible lightweight.

I’m still shocked that 21 million less voters this go round.
