Is ECNL really the villain though? They do need to keep up certain things. If a club isn’t meeting those levels then they need to make adjustments. I’m not sure we know when the cllub(s) were notified. And the club(s) decided how to proceed. Is it possible the ECNL said you have another year or two or whatever timeframe to get your teams in order? We don’t have alll the facts.

attended town hall last night. ECNL first approached Brave and MYS at the coaches meeting in January 2024. MYS at least (unclear on Brave) asked for a year to transition so that this could rolled out in a more coherent manner. ECNL essentially said no. It had to be now or else they would not renew membership in April. ECNL guy sounded like a true jerk.

I'm laughing at how many GA parents have been created over the last couple of months.

More than 20 but less than 30, does it matter after 19? Someones not dressing and that's the culture of every team around here in the HS years. Find the club where you're in top 18 at minimum, if you think you have a higher level player find a club where you are top 13 or 14 at minimum. Otherwise just burn your money

Yeah, because you’re clearly NOT talking about exclusive, private pay-to-play high school soccer, with its large rosters of pay-to-play ECNL/GA players. Public high school soccer is inclusive so who cares.

Kids lose and you cheer because your kid got an offer. Karma has a way.

There is no offer or cheering here. It is a tough time for all the families and especially for the kids. I am pointing out that this process is not even close to over yet and people are already bashing their old club on their way out.

Don’t try and walk it back now. You’re blaming complaints as nothing more than the sour grapes of parents of less deserving players than your player.

+1 At the town hall I think they said these are minimums for budget purposes? Maybe I didn't hear it clearly if anyone else did.
