Obama is in Texas at Fort Bliss announcing a new suicide prevention program. He is going to the flood areas on Monday.

Can you tell me what Romney has to offer? Can he provide emergency aid? Can he mobilize the National Guard? I would be shocked if Romney was simply exploiting people's suffering for political gain.

Obama never "plays " basketball. The last time he tried, he somehow got stitches on his lip. Lol. He can barely walk. He can't roll a ball strait. He can't throw a baseball without looking like a spaz, his golfing is hilarious with clumps of grass flying and everybody ducking. He is such a wierd and uncomfortable man.

A friend of mine who is currently working with the secret service and used to be in the navy commented on this this morning. When candidates or presidents tour places That have been affected by a national disaster, it pulls necessary resources from police to voluteers and other emergency staff away from the issue towards that candidates protection/ crowd. Obama going there to make a speech or do PR doesnt help. His not being there doesn't mean he won't support or effect recovery.

I never understood why presidents tour disaster areas. It doesn't achieve a damn thing and puts further stress on an area that already has enough to deal with. Romney being there is a waste of time too. That's the last thing they need.

No dude. If you would have read before posting, you would see that he is speaking to soldiers about a new suicide prevention program. Remember that war that Clint Eastwood thinks Obama started? The same war that Romney couldn't bring himself to mention a single time in his own speech? It's causing a lot of stress on military families and soldiers are killing themselves as a result. I'm sure this all very funny to you, but for most people it's not.

I am the 16:39 poster. You are right. I absolutely did not read before I posted. I was being completely sarcastic, as we have a running joke in our house about how many rounds of golf he actually does play! I was going to write that I honestly don't care where he is, but after reading where he really is -- I do care. Thank you for putting me in my place! What he is doing is important and so are our military families. So... my joke was inappropriate. I admit it.

Sorry if I was harsh, but I posted about Obama's whereabouts in the second post of this thread. I also have lost patience with criticism about Obama and golf. He has taken far less vacation than any recent President. He has spent far less time at Camp David. He is entitled to a weekend golf game.

Billions from the military likely hurts defense contractors not the servicemen. I'm retired Army.
