+1. OP, this was a stupidly juvenile and uninformed post. Grow up. |
Obama and the dems inserted the provision |
WTF is your point, dimwit? Let me break it down for you - this is a point on which both sides apparently share some agreement. Doesn't matter who introduced it, what matters is that Ryan will flip flop, lie, and attempt to rewrite his record to pretend like he never supported it. Get it, dummy? |
I love this argument. Paul Ryan morphs from up and coming leader who will tell us the "hard truths" into whiny blaming toddler who cries "Obama made me do it. Wahhhhhhh!" Seriously, Paul, have the gonads to tell us the truth about how you voted or stop acting like you're some principled tough guy. You can't do both! |
No, the Republicans did that in the bill they voted for. Otherwise why would they have voted or it? |
Inserted my ass. It was front and center, and Ryan took the deal. Remember who was hot and heavy to cut the deficit, in a recession, without tax increases. No weaseling out of this one. Your vote is your vote. |
I thought it was odd that Romney didn't acknowledge the natural disaster in his speech. A real president would not fail to do this in a national address. seemed selfish. |
Libs want to reduce the military and inserted the defunding provision and black mailed everyone , military should have been left off the table . |
The entire point of sequestration is to be an undesirable alternative to force Congress to reach an agreement on deficit-reduction. If only non-defense cuts were on the table, the Republicans would simply refuse to negotiate because the resulting cuts would be fine with them. By having across the board cuts, including defense, as a thread Republicans and Democrats have incentive to reach a deal. Rather than negotiating, Republicans are crying about potential defense cuts. They should stop the whining and start negotiating. |
Cut everything that isn't defense or security |
Th one and only act of sanity in the budget process was the decision to force republicans and democrats to agree to compromise or accept painful cuts to sacred cows on both sides of the aisle. It also has the curious effect of separating the adults from the children. The adults man up and accept the inherent justice in the deal. The children are squealing about it. So squeal away. |
Obama has already said that there will be no cut to troops salaries if sequestration happens.
Basically, if the cuts have to happen to Defense, it will not be to the troops, it will be to the military industrial complex. The Air Force might have to buy, and this is a quote for a recent hearing "three less F-35." Yes, each of these completely unnecessary planes costs $150 million dollars. |
Brilliant. We have a whole country full of people willing to sacrifice everyone else's priorities. You are too dumb to know that you are the problem. |
That was probably sarcasm. |
Lying Ryan. |
