This doesn’t really align with his “conservative” values. It’s amazing to me that so many millions were taken in by this phony huckster.

There are a lot of people who grew up being forced to respect their authoritarian parents, and it fostered in them a gnawing emptiness that they fill with anger and fear. That’s Rush’s base. That’s the GOP.

Rush would've lived a lot longer if he experienced the joy and love of kids and remaining faithful to a single wife.

Four marriages, no kids, and multiple addictions? What an empty life. I don't care if he was successful at his job and made a ton of money. His heart was empty.

Easy to assign ones values to another individual. I would imagine he wasn't the easiest to get along with, even so seems he lived a pretty good life. fyi Not everyone wants kids.

Of course not everyone wants kids. There are also people who want kids but are infertile, which he very well may have been. Maybe that’s why he had no sympathy for people who wanted health insurance to cover the cost of their contraception. Who knows? He is gone and his genes do not live on.

I wonder if he was infertile. It would be interesting to find out if one of the wives would speak to that. People who don't want kids and somehow can't I just can't understand why they make birth control their top priority. So many single men I know care about this issue. I guess because it's an easy thing to hang your hat on that you are superior some way. It's like women making their whole case against how bad men can and pointing to men going off to war when there isn't a draft for women.

I think he did so many opioids that he couldn't maintain you-know-what. He also had a lot of deep-seated resentments toward women. He totally seems like the type who would accuse women of taking advantage of his wealth.

I bet his current wife wasn't left much and there was an iron-clad pre-nup. Why else is she shilling a kids' book before his body is even in the ground? She needs money. He seems like a control freak.

I mean, she married Rush Limbaugh. The point is she likely expected to married to Rush Limbaugh for at least another 10 years. It was a gamble that paid off.
Also, many people don’t want children under any circumstance. They don’t define everyone.

Maybe not aspirational, but I wouldn't mind being rich and single, with zero commitments. Whether you have husbands or kids or whatever, most of us are going to need professional caregivers once we get to a certain point in our lives anyway; why not live it up until you get there.

Same here. I know some miserable 44 year old women married with kids who hate their jobs and husbands, lol. At least she can live a great life, and she seemed to actually care about him.

Like him or not he was a big success, like many on the right or left he did say some stupid things. He also said some unpopular truthful things most were too afraid to say.

Either way why would people obsess over this guy....same with Trump...time to move it along.

I'm hoping the GOP gets the message that it's not just liberals that hated Rush and maybe start backing away from the edge. The January 6th insurrection was somewhat of a shock for some people and if we can show them how Rush was an instigator of this hate, maybe some of them will realize they need to stop associating themselves with hateful people. It's a hope anyway.

You sound like the guy on marriage/religion forums that insists his wife is still married to him because the Catholic church hasn't annulled his marriage but his wife divorced him like six years ago. It's not a good look.
