Oh no. They wanted Bolten but he said that they were going to have to subpoena him and go to court. They weren’t willing to go to court. It was going to take too long.

Apparently Bolton expressed concerns to Barr about Trump's love of dictators and fear that he was granting them favors.

you can't be serious. if they subpoenaed Bolton and it was held up in court until three months before the election, then you would scream they were playing politics. The Dems elected to not go the Comey route (or, more broady, the Chaffetz route as he was a key actor in orchestrating the big reveal. Guessing that you had no problems with any of that.

Alas, Comey's large ego probably effectively blunts any conscience he should have on getting the nation into this mess.
