It appears Bolton's book undercuts Trump's defense

I feel like Dems are putting the cart before the horse... again. We are so eager to ‘finally’ show folks how much trump sucks that we jump all over bad ideas. So- Bolton says in a book that Trump did the deed? And we think he’ll cooperate if called? And even if he does, IT DOES NOT MATTER. Not matters.
Just focus on 2020. It’s trumps to lose

Ok. Senator King says 10 GOP senators will vote for witnesses.

You have to see that things are changing.

Likely to vote. A Susan Collins ‘likely’ is nothing I’d bet on.
She ‘likely’ go rouge but ‘definitely’ tow the line.

I think most of us are convinced that the GOP will all ultimately vote to acquit, but who really knows what will happen. Two days ago everyone was sure that all the GOP in senate would vote against witnesses and fall in line but since the Bolton book news there is a lot of scuttlebutt of GOP being closer to committing to have witnesses. Not saying anything is a sure thing, but from one day to the next any sort of news could drop to influence the procedures.

And this argument is a bit silly since many of us can walk and chew gum at the same time, i.e., we can concentrate on this and also concentrate on the upcoming campaign and election.

No- the 3 senators who are 2020 candidates can’t be in Iowa & the Senate @ same time. and this is only empowering trump & those who want to own the libs. We’ve gotta grey rock him. Stop giving him air time. Move on

No matter what "we" do, Trump is empowered and he has a core base of, it seems, 45% of national likely voters who will support him no matter what. Given that no approach the rest of us takes will matter, some of us prefer to see a fair impeachment trial through to the end on principle. Do any of you remember what its like to have principles?

I've yet to hear anyone explain how these polls are getting in touch with 18-30 year olds: a demographic that screens pretty much all unknown calls.
