Well, obviously some team wants to stack the deck in their tournament and are obviously not concerned with how it might affect the DA player. But good luck to them, I hope they win their medal. |
Or some parent doesn't know how to fill their time without a Columbus Day tournament and is trying to play with their old team so they can get some minutes |
^^maybe the kid is a bench player on DA and wants some game time. |
No, a parent of a DA player would know the answer to the question. |
We are talking full Time DA. |
Then they risk getting kicked off the DA team. Your Columbus Day Tournament is not worth this kids spot on a DA team. |
Is there any way to get evaluated for a DA way team now? Or are roster full and tryouts just once a year? Can you email a DA coach and ask to come to a practice? This is for u12 boy |
You can ask. Are you coming from another club or from out of town? Why didn't you try out in the spring - did you move here from another area and you were on a top competitive team there? Tryouts are generally once a year but some teams might have space for someone who moves to the areas. I would be surprised if they would put a new kid in DA now but it can't hurt to ask. |
Why is it a "risk" and not automatic? What if the coach is turning a blind eye? |
Why don't you ask the DA coach? DA does not allow outside competition during the DA season. The DA team is well within their rights to remove the player from the team for violating this rule. What is so important about this tournament that either the player would risk punishment from his team or that you would ask the player to take this risk for a tournament? |
Can we end this? The kid can not play. Period. It's not allowed. Period. US soccer doesn't allow it. |
Cheaters trying to scam the system. DA equaling Dumb Asses. I hope the DA kid plays in the tournament and makes headlines.....then get kicked off the squad for violating the DA agreement. |
Tryouts are ALWAYS available for good players. You may want to look at McLean, whose roster still has room. |
Can't DA's run a query on all the player passes in like US Club Soccer or whatever to see if any of the DA kids are rostered on other teams because otherwise, the DA wouldn't just give up their player card and I do not think kids are forging their own player cards to do this. Now that's crazy. |
Agree. All the DA teams my son has played for have had new players show up for practices fairly frequently. In a few cases the players were later added to the roster. |
