Terrified of what? No one even knows. As a parent I’m worried what will happen to my kids team if our coach jumps ship but I doubt anyone on the GFR staff is terribly concerned with this. GF people remember how hard it was to have competitive teams before the merger so no reason for anyone to be worried about what great falls 2.0 might be going to do.

Well, that could be true since there is literally no one in the new club. But who else would be defending this club other than people involved in it? I’m 30 minutes away from GF but a new club forming is always going to intrigue the parents in this area

Just a random lurker with no knowledge nor interest in this or GFR, but thinks it’s hilarious that this thread managed to wrack up 18 pages of replies in 10 days, not a single one of which appears to be from someone who actually knows anything about the club let alone attended this interest meeting that allegedly occurred at a fancy country club.

Same. And hope this “club” realizes the longer they don’t say anything the more likely that rumors and speculation will overshadow whatever it is they’re not telling people.

I suspect some of the posts have been from someone who actually know about the club/were at the country club meeting, but they just haven’t posted any details because either (a) they have nothing to say; (b) they are embarrassed about what they have to say; or (c) there’s some reason they think they need to be secretive about what they have to say.

Why do you expect Riverbend to be a better option than the 3 clubs you listed? If anything it’s just proof that the last thing this part of NoVa needs is another club!
