Strongly disagree with that. She’s had much more work done and she is constantly working in comparison to his tour dates and schedule. She even takes practically budget or D list shows/movies including ones that are practically porn. It’s like she will take any Hollywood job she can get.

Who wants a partner like that? As you get older you want to slow down and spend time together enjoying the life you built. Not the opposite.

I guess we can debate whether asking your partner to prioritize spending time with family is dimming her light? Other A list actresses don't work nearly as much as she does. As others have pointed out, her work is of highly varying quality. She needed to do 'Lioness,' really? Or 'A Perfect Couple'? Likely Oscar- or Emmy-nominated fare, sure, but she's done quite a bit of drek that's kept her away from home. Also away from her aging mother, who recently passed away. She might have some regrets about her priorities at this point?

The custody schedule is interesting.

Either it was a pre-nup thing or there’s a compelling reason why his is so limited (whether it’s his choice or insisted by her..perhaps for a reason like being off the wagon or shacking up with someone).

He probably made his unhappiness clear for a while, and she ignored him. That doesn't excuse cheating, if that's what happened, but this kind of mid-life split rarely comes out of nowhere. Of course maybe she was a fabulous wife and he's just a selfish jerk. We'll never know for sure.

I think it makes sense for the girls to stay in their home and not have their routines disrupted. Since he's the one who moved out, makes sense she would be the primary residential parent, covering the whole school year. I assume he'll get every other weekend, some holidays, and a chunk of summer break. Plus additional time when she's out of town for work, presuming all parties agree.

Yeah I think it makes a lot of sense when you think of it in school terms. He's probably getting the 3 day weekends and much of holiday breaks. None of that means hes not gonna see them during the week but now they wont be tied going back and forth.

Laniey is right. The split is not playing out in real time. These papers were signed all the way back in late August/September. They could've done a slow roll out all of September but it sounds like Nicole was still fighting for it. As much as I feel for Nicole, they needed to rip the bandage off. His mind was made up

Lainey is pretty pro NK but just in terms of her work: "We just established that she’ll be back on set for Lioness. She spent the summer shooting the Practical Magic sequel. She also wrapped earlier this year on Scarpetta (which she insisted on filming in Tennessee). Plus David E Kelley’s new series, Margot’s Got Money Troubles. Season three of Big Little Lies is in pre-production. There are three other projects in development. The girl is BUSY" She also has major brand ambassadorships, her own production company, and projects with others including Reese Witherspoon, she goes to tons of fashion events, now with one or both daughters modeling too. KU is on a tour now that is not a ton of dates and otherwise most all of his work is at the studio in Nashville. Even the TV show coming up with Blake Shelton seems like he had minimal input and filming is already done. She has many many more projects and work.

She works nonstop. Maybe he took her up on the 300 days at the family home just to get her to try. It hasn't happened previously.

I just want to throw it out there, Nicole is an A-list actress. I totally agree that she’s very busy, but I don’t think some people realize how big names like her are treated on sets - for example, she filmed the Hulu series 9 perfect strangers - I watched that show, it’s a huge ensemble cast and Nicole is not in all or even most scenes. That means that they cluster filming. She comes in for a few weeks to film and then she leaves and goes back home. The production continues, but she doesn’t have to be on site the whole time.

That’s true for a lot of the things she’s been in. The perfect couple was very much an ensemble cast. I doubt she actually needed to be on set more than a week or two to film all her scenes.

Productions can’t afford to just pay for celebs and actors to just stay indefinitely on a set. They fly them in and out. You often hear actors who were on the same movie saying they never met cause they werent on at the same time.

Same with promos for movies. Most films have a “press day.” It all has to do with the budget and then they don’t want to blow a bunch of money on marketing and so they condense interviews into a day or two. Nicole probably has six outfit changes several different interview in a 24 hour period. Lots of actresses on Instagram film their press days. And it’s them going from one outfit one interview to the next and it’s a whirlwind and they’re back home 24 hours later.

As for her producing and endorsements, again they make it really easy for her - her silly endorsement for perfume or whatever don’t take that much time and producer just means she’s likely fronted some of the finances so she can get back end. I really don’t think Nicole is in a lot of strategy meetings about these projects.

It doesn’t mean she’s not busy and away from home a lot but I think it’s no different than someone with a big job. She has a lot of support to maximize her schedule.

NK herself has said in interview after interview that "the yearning never stops" and even talked about how KU encourages her to try to shut it down and be more in the moment. This is what she said, not some big inside scoop.

You can post but to act like you know what is really going on is foolish.
