| A school needed at least and 86 out of 100 to get into the T25 this year. |
UCLA is going to have to change all their signage. "Number one public university" is all over their campus.
|
At DC's magnet Chicago is a Plan B for kids who don't get into Ivies. #6 is surprising. |
I really don’t get the UChicago hate. At our private, all kids accepted last year were in the top 10%. |
At our DC private they were all out of the top 20%. |
Chicago and Hopkins are T10 oddballs. I’ve never met a kid who dreams of going to either. |
Bullshit. |
Well, my kid has had UChicago as a dream school since freshman year of high school. |
Oh, a number of Hopkins aspirants at our school. 3 were admitted ED, and a number were disappointed to have been rejected. Chicago is a different story. Several kids happy to attend, though not their first choice. |
Not very healthy to have any school as a dream since "freshman"... |
| Chicago and Hopkins are both great schools but they are below Ivies, Stanford, Duke, MIT, CalTech. Should be around 13. No shame in being 13. |
It’s not hate as much as it the rejection of a process that puts a lower tier school in the Top 10 when everyone knows it’s not on par with most of the others in that group. If they put Chicago in the 20s I’d buy it. |
I can make my own ranking too. But that’s not how it works. |
STA is sending 6 to Chicago and none were in the top 20% of the class. |
| Vandy still tied at 17. Supposedly it is the "hot" school yet is still appropriately ranked. Their fan club needs to work harder. |
