Someone there is lying about something when they say they were only there for negotiations.
Hamas families live openly in villas in Qatar. Maybe not all the top leadership, but their presences there is known to the locals. Some know them and were worried that they live next to their villas and thought they will be next. Taliban is also is in Qatar, as formal representatives and are other, shall we say, not friendly groups. There is nothing the vast majority of Israelis want less than peace. They want more land after all God promised it to them and they are his chosen people. The last prime minister they had that wanted peace and a two state solution was assassinated by Israeli extremists.

10/7 would not be a day to note if the Palestinians were the victims. Israel was killing Palestinians at a rate of 100 month for a year before 10/7.

Yes but Israelis view 1,000 Palestinian lives as equivalent to 1 Israeli life so they weren't killing that much. And they only have the equivalent of 10-20 lives as hostages in Israeli prisons.
