These teams played top 20 players for 3 quarters?

No they didn't, but PVI looked very strong and took it to Bullis, who looked overmatched at times. When all starters were playing it was tied. I think PVI may very well win the WCAC, looking this good so early. Very good coaching and hugely talented. It will come down to them and STJ.

And yes.
Several have full rides and NIL deals.

Big Tasty has a full ride but no one else. Other than Spallina, NIL in lacrosse is very, very small and the colleges on SJC's matriculation list aren't exactly big players in the lacrosse NIL world.
The thinking of giving up Ivy or IE to go to somewhere else to avoid loans is just backwards and shows either SJC doesn't have a very good college counseling office or the reality that it's just not a great school. Couple with those with Speaks not really pushing for his guys all that hard.
An Ivy(E) will more than pay back the debt by means of higher earnings over the first 5 -8 years out of school.

Sigh. Mr. Know it all knows nothing. Lmao

Funny - I’ll help you out with some info. Several received substantial collective checks from their respective schools last week.

IF your son makes it you will see. Tell the little guy to hit the wall.

I’m just wondering.

Do you think Ivys/Patriot League bring in more athletic money than the BIG and ACC?

"some info," "several," "respective." That's not anything and aren't you supposed to be at practice or getting the field ready as a student manager?
Here's outdated info from on3 bc there's so little money in lax they stopped tracking.
https://www.on3.com/nil/rankings/player/college/mens-lacrosse/

These are the typical deals and, guess what, every kid gets them and not just those from SJC. Get it Junior? It's a wash when you bring up NIL money because every kid from every school gets a taste. Btw, pretty safe to say any other company other than Gait would consider their deal with Spallina to be a bust at this point.

They were getting all this before it was called NIL. Now, they have to claim it on their taxes.

Poor attempt at satire and shows a lack of everything. The 5 or so pretty good schools SJC has placed lax guys in since 2021 is less than half of what Gonzaga has placed in equal to or higher schools over the same time period. GZ and SJC have placed about the same amount of players in d1 since 2021 but GZ's quality of school placement is way higher.

It doesn't matter who brings in more money, other high schools are placing the same amount or more of their players into those schools than SJC. Outside of the outlier year of 2022, it wouldn't be close.

He is there in his bright red SJC jacket scouting summer and fall tournaments, he follows up with the families of promising kids who attend his lacrosse camp in the summer, he himself takes prospective families on their tours of SJC. It’s not just coaching skill anymore so say what you will about Speaks but he understands the assignment.

sounds like the guy has zero life

if he’s recruiting so hard, why does he only have 8 freshman playing lacrosse this year? Has he decided to just recruit upperclassman transfers? That’s mostly what episcopal does and top lax boarding schools.

Hopefully you are not lumping Episcopal in with top lax boarding schools…

PVI looked lost and running for cover. PVI didn't take anything to Bullis. It was close but not because PVI was dominating Bullis. Bullis played awful and after 3 quarters it was 11-6, after 4 it was 13-7. It was a physical game and PVI ran out of steam. PVI coaching is suspect but the talent is there if they play together. I think it comes down to the same 4 in the WCAC GC, GZ, SJC and PVI.

Saint Mary's will contend for maybe the final playoff spot in the MIAA - Will Dalton was a good hire, he has his hands full but he will change the culture there.

Whatever Daltons destroyed the st Mary’s program. 2 brother and all the alumni hires. He only trying to build his club program. St Mary’s is B level miaa high school now. Spalding in the king in Annapolis now. St
Mary’s is a bottom feeder.
