MCPS needs to stop just moving these violent teens from one school to another.

Yes, a huge downside of countywide school systems. One never knows who has been transferred into your school and why.

This does not happen in township/borough localized school districts such as those in the burbs of PA, NJ, and CT.

This is the model we need to follow. For all the reasons

Or he was moved homes and went to the assigned school.

Nope. Still lives in Rockville and zoned for RMHS

Out of curiosity, where do those districts send expelled students? They have to go somewhere paid for by the public.

Wow there are some really violent kids. Hopefully the school system fires every teacher that has these kids bc they don't seem to have the skills to manage and control classrooms.

If these kids are so violent that they cannot be in proximity to other children safely, then they are forfeiting their right to a free education. If a young adult is mature enough to be a full political participant and join the military at 18, then I don't think this should be too hard to understand for a 16 year old. Just recirculating these kids means they can threaten more kids, and the job of teachers is to teach kids that want to learn, not police those that don't.

16 should be the age one can legally drop out of high school

Take that up with the legislature. They changed it to 18 in 2014ish.

I’m sorry, two big black boys kicking in the head of a little white boy????? How isn’t this a HATE crime?

Why the hell isn’t EVERY parent DEMANDING the expulsion of the two vicious perpetrators??? They should be in lock up.

You people really don’t give a damn about your own kids. DEMAND better.

Because it’s not two white kids beating up a black kid. Different set of rules.

We used to have a police officer on campus everyday. The Whitman parents banded together and wanted the officer out because they thought it made minority students uncomfortable. Maybe being stupidly liberal is just a bad idea.

They look like middle schoolers to me, 7th graders.

Stupid move. It’s all optics. Kids who don’t want to learn at that age aren’t learning anything.

There's a security office in the video.

I hope the school fired your teachers because you made the dumbest comment I've seen on DCUM all week.
