DEMs clearly need to get their ish together.
Trump is not unbeatable he's not really a strong candidate, Strategically I think it would make sense for the independents to run they can do this with support from Democrats behind the scenes. candidate... Charlie Baker where are you... |
No she isn't that would be a catastrophic mistake. They'll run her, with a white male VP, |
I’m not a traitor. It’s Joe or no one else. Full stop. |
Top Dems have been lying to us about Biden’s mental capacity and energy for a long time. You expected something different? |
This is such a circumvention of the democratic process. A handful of party insiders waits until the joke of a primary is over before deciding who the real candidate is.
And then whoever it is gets four months of 100% fawning press for the younger candidate who saves us from both Biden and Trump. Oh well, bring it on. |
Joe was great until he started hanging on to power past his expiration date. But I cannot abide someone who become delusional in old age. Biden thinks he's still got it. He doesn't. It's been very obvious for a few months now. Since Trump and his pet GOP are way past listening to the voice of reason, I was hoping someone in the Biden camp would be amenable to persuading Biden to step aside. He must do so in order for another Dem to win the White House. If Biden clings to his nomination, he has a very small chance of being reelected because Democrats usually don't like self-serving people who place themselves ahead of the country. That's what Republicans do. And if by some miracle Joe is reelected, then all our enemies will start testing his decline by a series of assaults in Ukraine, Taiwan, the Koreas, the Middle East, etc... The US will face a wave of hostility from our many, many enemies we've made over the decades because they know our leader isn't all there. With Trump they'll be a little more circumspect because Trump is famously unpredictable and uses violent rhetoric. But he'll do their job for them anyway, with disastrous choices, like hand Ukraine to Russia. So right now neither choice is within space shuttle distance of acceptable, people. We need a new Democratic ticket! |
I appreciate the loyalty, I guess? But here’s the thing, this election isn’t going to decided by the voters for either party that have dug in with either Trump or Biden. It’s going to be decided by those who don’t love either of them. Do those voters hold their nose and pick one, and if so who does that favor; or do they just not vote because they can’t bring themselves to vote for either, and who would that favor? |
Welp, they're going to sink the the entire ship. Especially because those Dems are sticking to party language to prop up Biden and just attack Trump >> which is not working for them. Trotting more people out to reassure the country is just banging your head on the wall. I was really hoping for change. I honestly think we need a moms demand action group to take over the Democratic party. |
+1 you ain’t kidding. Democrat party faithful are being treated as mushrooms: kept in the dark and fed shit. It’s unbelievable. |
His final statement was just as bad as his opening statement. |
The Democrats brought this on themselves by…voting. It’s not lost on me the party that has been insisting on the integrity of all our elections wants to find a rule besides the 25th Amendment to nominate an unelected candidate in a few weeks. I won’t bother voting next time. What’s the point? |
Yes but the choice is between him and Trump. The majority of the country would rather vote for anyone beside Trump. It will be another John Fetterman. That turned out yo be a total disaster. |
That’s what many are betting on: a vote for Biden is a vote against Trump. But what people might realize: A vote for Biden is a vote for it’s okay to elect someone not capable of being President as President bc he has advisers (a slippery slope for Democracy!) A vote for Biden is a vote for continued foreign war funding A vote for Biden is a vote for a man who says he wants to bring back Roe but cannot bc it is unlikely that any of the older SC justices will retire during his Presidency (at most maybe 1 maybe 2 but not enough to change the dynamic of the court) A vote for Biden is a for Trump but we survived last time A vote against Biden might help clear the field for younger Democrats and put us in a stronger position in 4 years. (Whereas 4 more years of Biden makes the election in 4 years increasingly at risk and we could get someone much worse than Trump) A vote against Biden sends a message to the party that they need to look up from their own navel gazing and listen to their voters Now I am sure people will comment that unless we vote against Trump our Democracy is at risk and we might never vote again….but I’m not sure I really believe this anymore after the party and Joe’s closest clearly lied to us. Also, I fundamentally do not think that Biden can win: Latino voters are turned off bc of social issues, Muslim voters (only matter in MI but still) hate his guts for hugging Israel, Younger voters are not inspired, Black voters are not excited and a greater % is ready to vote Trump. |
