Biden Admin to Remove Statue of William Penn from Philadelphia Park

To whom ever made the comment about slaves, William Penn was a Quaker. They did not believe or condone slavery nor did he own slaves. What history have you people been learning. Btw, I am decended from founding Philadelphia Families in the 1600’s. Whom several were killed in what is now Chestnut Hill, by native tribes. They wiped out 8 family members, including infants. There is no memorial for that.
Leave his statue alone. If most have never seen it, then maybe that says a lot about your perspective on History and education. Shame on the National Park Service, there are many areas of the city that can be revitalized, in worst condition than Welcome Park. Maybe some of you commenting on here, should drive around the city more. There are plenty of places to put a Native American Experience Memorial. Let’s honor all, isn’t that’s what Inclusion is all about????????

Why? Penn was a Quaker and Quakers did not have slaves.
