Lol. Where have you been? The conservative Supreme Court has recently ruled that race-based affirmative action programs in college admissions processes violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. |
Indeed, these treacherous progressive people are hopeless and shamefuless. We need to vote every single one off in November. |
Take away fron FCPS Board's actions to an Asian American student applicant: "We dont want to know how hard you studied Math, English, and Science in middleschool. Hence, you will not be given a STEM evaluation test. However, your evaluation will be based on your skin color, and there are already too many of your kind at TJ." |
Or, you could look at the new admissions process, which is quite different from your description. |
Literally every assertion in this post is false and outside of the bounds of logic. |
It’s a good thing that this is not a college admissions process and that it’s race-blind. |
The conservatives need to find much smarter people to go on these boards and make their arguments for them. What they’re sending right now makes their cause look uneducated. |
Admitting unqualified students of any race would be harmful to TJ. Thankfully, that’s not happening to any greater extent than it was previously. |
Agree with you. The new process is sending a greater extent of unqualified students to TJ. |

+100 Finally we are all on the same page. The Board went after the Asian suppression, and any racial suppression cannot be allowed to be an acceptable precedent for future generation. |

You're gonna need to show your work on that one. Haven't seen any evidence of it. People will cite the larger number of students entering in TJ Math 1, but those students are not "unqualified". They're simply less advanced. People will also cite the offerings of in-school assistance for catch-up last year and the year before, but those are there to address learning loss from COVID and in many cases the students' lack of access to the same outside-of-school tutoring options as their wealthy predecessors. It's no accident that Curie has numerous courses that line up perfectly with the TJ Math curriculum. |
Ah - so we've discovered how to edit within a quote to make it appear like you're responding to someone who agrees with you! Deceptive and disingenuous, but we've come to expect nothing less from the new Jim Crow - the Coalition 4 TJ. |
+1 Irrational and innumerate. |
