Won't the AA ruling be particularly bad for private school URMs?

Well this sort of thing is documented history. All you have to do is listen the Malcom X’s very entertaining speech about the house and the field. He thoroughly breaks this down.

Or maybe the one where Malcom X calls MLK a sort of modern day Uncle Tom

Honestly, what DCUM should take from all this is that black people just like white people have political/cultural disagreements. That really should not be a revelation to you.

That’s the speech.

Who is at the top of the class at schools line TJ? Who is doing original scientific research in high school? And whose admissions have been artificially suppressed (by, for example, Harvard’s likeability rating)?

Agree. Just look at California schools where AA was abolished in 1996. They are the most diverse schools in the nation. Many of them have minority white populations (less than Asians and Hispanics).

Not always.

A Latina adopted by white people with the last name of Smith is just one example when a school wouldn’t figure it out from name alone.

Right. But in her essays she can write about the hardships of growing up Latina in a white world. Or she can mention the good fortune of being adopted by a US family from a poor Latin country. Etc…

But what’s really going to happen — at least at the top schools — is a modest decline in black and Hispanic admits (because colleges will find proxies for race) and a huge spike in Asian admits. Once again white people always assume that they get there on merit while people of color don’t. Many Asian applicants outshine white applicants, and their numbers are going to rise. Again, this will be most pronounced at the top schools.

Asians are only 6% of the population with 54% ish college graduates rate. This translates to about 6% of the total number of college students. Whites college students were 42% and Hispanic 17.5%. I know you think every Asian has the highest stats but that is not true. It is a racist stereotype.

There are more white(15/1) and Hispanic(3/1) students with top stats vs Asian. Top schools like Harvard are selecting students from a pool with identical in terms of sat, act, gpa, etc.

The data about Asians applies to only Harvard. Which has a class size of 1,600.

At Caltech in 2022-23, Whites comprised 45% of undergraduates and Asian Americans comprised 44%. Get ready for more stats trending in that direction at top schools.

https://registrar.caltech.edu/records/enrollment-statistics

One thing you fail to realize is that the 45% Whites includes Hispanics (ethnicity) who identify as White (race).

The actual break down at Cal tech is:
Asian 36.6%
White 27%
Hispanic 17.2%

Thank goodness for all these inclusive Identity Labels!

That continues to be my takeaway the last five years.

Will laugh my butt off when these “URM” parents at Big 3 schools don’t waltz into an Ivy. Legacy Ivy, World Bank and on financial aid. Getting subsidies from everyone else just because of their pigment. 150 points lower SAT. Half a point lower GPA! And get to go to the front of the line. Hit the road. Merit is back.

You seem to forget that the SAT is inherently racist against kids of color and that lower GPAs come from discrimination (being left out of study groups, etc).

Will you finally show some respect to the ones who do get in? Will you?

Sure. Why don’t you look at the scores of the kids admitted. The only kids who get in with “low” test score and GPA are big donors.

That also reflects the state population.

Don't be mean. These kids are no less deserving than other kids. You don't know what they overcame.

Hispanic? Leave it to you to use a term central to colonialism. Says a great deal about you.
