BCC is dense enough and should become part of DCC. |
The myth is that BCC parents were against this but don't see any downside. BCC kids who wanted to apply to DCC programs would be eligible. Anyone who just wanted to attend their home school would be able to. I guess a few kids from outside boundary might want to attend BCC but there are only so many spots. |
They were, but that was 20 years ago. |
How much price in WJ may go down due to boundary change? 10% , 20% ??
I don't care much about demography of schools changing but I have enough stress in my life to not add possibility of 25% decline after buying a house. |
This is what structural racism looks like. “I’m not a racist but I don’t want my home value to go down if those kids are in my school.” |
Woodward had a great reputation before, it will be a brand new school and will have a great reputation again |
Are you serious? |
Seems nobody cares about struggling midlife middle class in the name of diversity. Why everything they say can be linked to racism? |
Are you out of your mind? There is nothing racist about not wanting to lose 25% of biggest purchase of your life. |
If you are worried about house prices, then I will suggest stay away from WJ cluster. No one knows how it will look like and impact on price. Over all it's going to be net negative for sure, but it's hard to quantify it. You should be safe if you are buying deep into Whitman. If you are near WJ/Whitman boundary then that may change as well. |
WJ reputation will change. Woodward has to build it's reputation from scratch. |
Don't feed the troll. Housing prices are off-topic for this thread. |
May, but not likely. Whitman is undersubscribed so more likely to have a school added. |
You can add and also take out, so boundary can change. But you are right, due to location of Whitman, I don't see too huge a change. |
No, it doesn't. Woodward had an excellent reputation before, and will start with that same excellent reputation. That plus the brand new facility will make it an excellent school (both of mine graduated from an extremely overcrowded WJ, and I wish it had been open for them). |
